Dope! Just ran a SFC scan on LTSC 2019 after removing most apps/components via MSMG Toolkit v9.2 Everything works like a charm! Thank you @MSMG and to everyone else involved in the MSMG Toolkit project!
Yep, I also report success. @MSMG, here is the feedback after making a x64 image: Source OS: LTSC x64 English Target OS: LTSC x64 Spanish Image version used: 17763.1 <--- important, clean image without any pre-integrated updates Integrated: Edge, Store, Alarms and clock, camera app, dart, dx9, WHD updates. Removed: AAD.BrokerPlugin Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager Microsoft.Windows.ParentalControls Microsoft.Windows.PeopleExperienceHost App.Support.QuickAssist Retail demo content Customer Experience Improvement program Microsoft.Windows.Cortana First logon animation smartscreen app Windows Defender Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI Cleanup + Restbase Rebuild image Make ISO Done. The build process was flawless, but I have two comments: 1. The WHD updates offers TWO .net updates, one cumulative and one security. However, the toolkit only processes ONE of them. Should we use another folder ("dynamic update") for the .net security update? It seems that the toolkit only processes one file from each folder. 2. The desktop app installer metro app: At this time the adguard site offers the neutral appx bundle single file. But the toolkit insists on having the older files that are separated (x64 and x86). It would be nice if we can integrate the neutral appx bundle as it is updated. I still have to deploy the image, as soon as possible I'll give feedback regarding installation and SFC check. Cheers.
I'm not too familiar with: - AADBrokerPlugin - SettingSync - Windows To Go - First logon animation - Content delivery manager What do those apps/components do? Is there a fallback if I were to remove them as well? @MSMG @Supern00b
Firstlogon animation is the little scene that plays after installation, "Let's get started" or similar. It's utterly annoying. Windows to Go is to put your windows on an USB stick Content delivery manager, settings sync and aadbroker no idea (after all I'm a n00b), but I know @Enthousiast knows. Cheers.
Could I get an in-depth guide on how to use 9.2.7 with 1809? It seems like everything is failing and harder to use than in 8.8.
I have no clue what you are talking about, did you ever see me posting anything about chopping, other than that it's useless?
True, my mistake, I just copy-pasted the name because I forgot it. Still wondering on how to use this version. V8 has options such as 'Remove all Apps except Store' but this version doesn't. Seems like a step backwards IMO.
You have used 17763.316 with MSMG 9.2 and thats why its not working. Just use version 9.1 and it will work fine. By the screenshot provided by @ShinRamYun247, he is successful in using 9.2 with 17763.107. I think @MSMG is working a fix for 9.2 to work with 17763.316. As for the "removal of all apps except store", I have no idea as i always remove store along with other unwanted crap. Edit: I tried running sfc /scannow and i get windows resource protection errors. Maybe if msmg 9.2 worked fine with version xx.316, this issue wouldn't have persisted.
That only works on an OS that's currently in use and by itself won't let me check an .iso version. I'll just give 9.1 a try and see if it works
IDK, clicking start and seeing what I want instead of what someone else is forcing me to see alone is worth it.
Please, i responded to someone specific, mentioning me that i would know things. The world would be dull place when we all only saw what we wanted to see.
