Yea that is what I meant. What kind of permissions do you have on your D drive? Why don't you move your toolkit to a different drive, and try it there. Perhaps your C drive. If it works on a different drive, then you are narrowing down the issue.
@dani29M sorry dude, but first you need read MSMG Toolkit Documentation on item Toolkit Startup is clear: download, extract the Toolkit archive file for e.g C:\Toolkit so first read with attention before make actions and lost your time unnecessary
...The MSMGTOOLKIT cmd is very good too and should be preserved after the gui version is released....You can have both options to choose from.
I read RS2 is going to have cmd line tool removed from the OS itself, is that just Home and Pro edition only? And i assume the cmd version of MSMG Tool won't work without it?
UPDATE: Moved everything to C:/,disabled the antivirus, disabled the UAC completely from the registry along with luafv ! RESULT: Same errors on exact same packages I'M GIVING UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What Host OS are you using with the Toolkit? x86 or x64? The Toolkit uses SetACL to change the permission of those folders where errors occur. I do not know if the Host OS architecture makes a difference. I use Win10 x64 and I have no problem with permissions.
i'm using Win10 x64 as well, doesn't make sense to me how the same exact errors occurred every time, been trying for probably 10 days so far without any luck
It does not make sense to me either. I tested it in the C:\ToolKit-v6.3 directory and got no error. Download the Toolkit again and check out the SHA1 hash that is on the first page. Make sure that all files have been extracted from the 7z file correctly.
I actually downloaded it from that MEGA link on the first page, that hash thing didn't work for some reason on my utorrent....anyway...looks like i messed something somewhere and i guess i'll reinstall the windows and do the Toolkit on it and then install the lite version. It's a shame, brand new SSD already got like 600GB written on it. And just in case somebody to confirm for me please about the steps to integrate the Net Framework on x64: ***Integrate Updates---Remove everything(apps and the rest of the crap)-----Apply(only)-----Clean---Integrate Framework----Rebuild---Extract only the Index you need------Install(dream on Daniel)*** .Again PLEASE somebody to confirm this for me or correct me. Thanks for all your help guys, sorry for being super annoying and also HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone !!!! P.S. By the way MSMG mention in another post about applying Telemetry Tweak, can somebody post a link to it.Thanks
The order may be working but if the CU has updates for dotnet46x (x = depending on the build you're working on) it will redownload the parts to update dotnet46x after installing the windows. TIP, delete the indexes you don't want, first.
The SHA1 hash I was referring to is to make sure the 7z file is identical to the one posted and has not been corrupted but in that case I think you could not extract it. For disregard of conscience I always check it. You commented on index I remembered ... I only use the MSMG ToolKit with one index at a time. When I did it differently I got some errors but it was with an older version of the Toolkit.
@AeonX yep, same here working with only 1 index at time no problems in any version of MSMG Toolkit at least for me
