He won't know. MSMG is the author of this tool. MSMG will release it when he thinks it stable enough. But his current tool has always been great to use.
Still I can see it could be handy if we have a list of what combinations we can remove with proper windows working
I know. I just asked about a new version of the tool with support for the last stable Windows build 15063 (RS2).
Can anyone (who upgraded from 14393 Enterprise to 15063 Enterprise) show me file packages.txt , please. Code: reg query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing\Packages" > packages.txt
MSMG Toolkit breaks sync with my ms account.cant sync people app.also verification option in user is missing.any idea why?
So I used this tool to customize Creator's Update o my liking: - Added 1.2GB worth of drivers (for my system) - Added DaRT - Removed a bunch of SystemApps - Integrated a couple of updates The WIM file is now over 5GB in size, which AFAIK, means I need to either split the WIM or to use special NTFS partition through RUFUS for GPI EFI installation. I did all that and yes I could boot from my flash drive and get to Windows, but my partitio for Windows is only 30GB and that was always plenty for official Windows 10 releases, including Creator's Update, BUT with my changes it told me I needed 55GB worth of free space to make the installation possible! WHY IS THAT??? I didn't add 20GB worth of content, maybe 2GB tops! Is it because of DaRT?
I did similar with new build. Converted to esd, and it was 3 GB. Did you rebuild wim files using option 6? You should still be able to install on 20 GB partition.
Can you mount image using standard dism command? You will use this, but adjust paths. Code: Dism /Mount-Image /ImageFile:C:\test\images\myimage.wim /index:1 /MountDir:C:\test\offline
Hey brothers, i need your help: Seems that I removed a component thats affects extensions installations on chrome browsers (tried all channels stable, dev, beta, canary). I can not install any extension from the chrome store. The browser stays frozen in checking and I have to restart it from the task manager and the extension never gets installed. With the untouched ISO I do not have this problem, the extensions are installed normally (tested on virtual machine). If I remember correctly the components I removed were the following: Calendar & Mail Feedback Hub Get Office Apps Groove Music Maps Movies & TV Messaging Office One Note Paid Wifi... People Skype Wallet 3rd party apps links MS Biometrics MS Comm... App MS Telemetry Contact Supp... L - ... Test App? Quick Assist App Hope someone can help me. Thanks a lot!. On Windows 10 1703 (build 15063.0).
@tiagokenta, sorry but you already try install another browser? myself don't see this issue until now still I have one pratice when working with MSMG Toolkit I take note of all applications removed, added, customized and write/save as .txt on notepad (on sub-folder of Documents named MSMG Toolkit for future reference so when I need remember something I simply open this sub-folder and search for date of job)concluding your question try Firefox, Opera etc if works then maybe you need clean your profile in Appdata and reinstall chrome again
Ok bro, I will try deleting the related folders and report back. Tested with Firefox and Opera and extensions installations from respective stores work well. --- F***k seems to be related to the ISO. I made a new user account for test and still doing the same, I installed chrome from scratch and walla is freezing again when i install any extension (stuck on checking). Going to
