Cortana & Search are integrated as one. If you want a search function then use a 3 party start menu program like startisback or classic shell
It would be best just to remove Cortana with a registry edit. Then you can keep search. Actually I use Cortana to MY benefit. It is all in what you want. Cortana works for me, I do not work for her.
Waiting for MSMG to come back with v7.0 possibly fix the current issue for redstone 3 build : "windows couln't install cause there are one or more compoments are corrupted" after removing packages
Hi well I think that including severals "things" when working with MSMG Toolkit don't compensate at all and also always cause some pending operations for example NETFX3 for me is better install this applications after (when O.S. are installed and running) see my ISO after job done is only 3,61GB; but each user have your own reasoning then as consequence is ever big ISO's only my 2 cents
Sorry for the inconvenience, but how would it be to remove Cortana for the record? Taking advantage also, which way you set for Cortana to work for you? Thank you!
When ask I say Not now for Cortana, then i use To disable Cortana in windows 10 Press Win + R keyboard accelerator to open Run dialog box. Type GPedit.msc and hit Enter or OK to open Local Group Policy Editor. Navigate to Local Computer Policy -> Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Search. In the right pane, double click on policy named Allow Cortana. Select the Disabled radio button.

Has anyone figured out why adding NET Framework 3.5 and 700MB worth of drivers + removing everything Metro-related from the ISO with this tool results in a WIM file larger than the original and an out-of-proportion increase in desired free space during installation yet??? All instructions followed and yet during clean OS install from an ISO with many Metro Apps removed results in a request to have 40-55GB worth of free space, while official Creator's Update ISO installs just fine on my 30GB partition...
