I once learned from my own experience that disabling Internet Explorer in Windows Components led to incorrect operation of some functions of Microsoft Office.
It is not surprising if something similar in some cases may occur as a result of disabling /removing Windows Media Player.

Only you can thoroughly test on a test system the consequences of disabling/removing these components, taking into account your Windows usage scenarios and taking into account the features of the software that you use.

If you are not sure that it will not damage the fuccinality of your working system, I would not recommend removing these components. (no wonder they are still present in the system).

I myself, despite the fact that I like to clean up the OS from unnecessary components, these two, which are not used by me for their intended purpose, never disable or remove.

You can use any version of Windows 10 that you are interested in, from those that support the Toolkit, and taking into account which specific CU for each version supports the component removal module. IN ORDER TO AVOID PROBLEMS: You can get this information from Changelog.txt (Toolkit_v11.4):

+ Updated the Feature "Remove Windows Component" to support Windows 10 21H1 (v10.0.19043) Source OS.
+ Updated the Feature "Remove Windows Component" to support Windows 10 Client v1809 (v10.0.17763.1817) Source OS.
+ Updated the Feature "Remove Windows Component" to support Windows 10 Client v1903/v1909 (v10.0.18362.1440/v10.0.18363.1440) Source OS.
+ Updated the Feature "Remove Windows Component" to support Windows 10 Client v2004/v20H2/v21H1 (v10.0.19041.867/v10.0.19042.867/v10.0.19043.867) Source OS.

The correct sequence of all actions when working with the Toolkit for all supported versions of the source images, which is also important for getting a good result, is described in README.txt.

How do I use Disable Windows Features using Features List? Because whenever I access it I get to see no options, rather I only get a prompt saying features disabled successfully.
Also, is Start removing Windows Components same as Remove Windows Apps and Components using package list combined in the Remove menu? Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

You can copy the names of the features that you want to disable from a template that is appropriate for version of your source image, located at the path: ToolKit\Bin\Lists\Features_Templates\ and paste them into an empty file DisableFeaturesList.txt, located at the path ToolKit\Bin\Lists\

While the toolkit is running (after the components removal operation is completed) You need to go back to the main menu, select - [4] Customize, and in the Menu that opens, select - [2] Disable Windows Features using Features List.

Yes. But at the moment, for some versions of Windows (source images), the toolkit only supports the remove method using the Using package list.

The names of the components that can be removed using the Toolkit Helper can be found in the template that is appropriate for the version of your source image, located at the path: ToolKit\Bin\Lists\ToolKitHelper_Templates\

You can copy only the names of the components that you want to delete, or if it's easier, copy everything and paste it into an empty file RemovePkgsList.txt, located at the path: ToolKit\Bin\Lists, and then remove from this list the names of those components that should be left in the system.

If when you enter the - [3] Remove menu, you only see the - Remove Windows Components Using Package List option (using certain versions of the source image), and there is no [1] Remove Windows Components option, then this means that for this version of the source image, the Toolkit supports the feature of removing components only using a Custom list.

In fact, this is not a reason for frustration, since deleting components using a Custom list will ensure that you complete this task as quickly as possible, and in the future, too (you will already have your own tested and configured template).

This is the main thing. MSMG can provide you with additional information about the accompanying nuances.

Yeah any additional information or even a detailed tutorial/documentation about each of the options in the Toolkit would be very useful for the beginners.

MSMG, How can I disable Delivery Optimization, but at the same time so that Windows Update does not work automatically (to download drivers and that's it)?

Thanks your work is appreciated. Had a problem with 1809.1. I update the service stack and reset and then the rest went in alright.
