HDD {Boot} Information - [BusType:SATA, Mode:AHCI, Partition:MBR, DriveType:HDD] I knew you would "Get'r Done" for W7... Great!...
It's not perfect on w7 as Model Name i can't obtain - Yet - i will find a way Other thing is the date is in UTC type format MM/DD/YYYY across all languages which negates the use of the unicode code that caused the hang ups. The drivetype is set to SSD or HDD, so if a NVMe/eMMC type drive is used it may get that bit wrong, but the BusType should be correct. Windows 8.x/10/S2016 uses a different method and not affected as for the above. Also a hybrid drive may throw the results out a bit too but it's a experimental program that for general HDD/SDD works ok. Plus because of the extra program the QT file size has increased. From about 1.3mb to over 2mb but that's nothing.
I will release the QT 43 tomorrow morning GMT. As tonight i'm having a drink or 4 so not going to risk making a mistake with hashes, the wrong password or file.
Query Tool v43.0 has been uploaded and first post password updated. Spoiler: Quick Summary + Fixed the date so that it is now in UTC (MM/DD/YYYY) format across all languages, no longer uses the %DATE% variable which caused a few odd day name glitches. MRP will use this routine from now on too. + For Windows 7/Server 2008R2 the HDD Information should now show the BusType (IDE/SATA/NVMe etc) and if the drive is a HDD or SSD. For now the drive's Model Name is not shown like it does under later OS's, (working on that bit). Note: The program i wrote is experimental to do the Win7 HDD data, so it may not work on all hardware. If the data cannot be obtained then the basic IDE/AHCI and MBR/GPT info should still show. The program is not used on Vista or Server 2008 as those OS's are now End Of Life and not supported by Microsoft, plus i am unsure if my little program would work under those OS's, so it is not used, you should just see the basic information on them. This does not affect Windows 8.x/10 kernels as that uses a system API call routine which is not available for OS's below w8.0. MRP v80 is under the last testing stages so all being well it will be ready for release before the New Year!

There was others i saw that had like mathematical equations and stuff on a dull background, but settled on that one as it bright and cheerful. Not sure how many people use RM computers these days. The RM logo that's my doing took ages to work out how to get the logo to be on a transparent background so i could 'merge' it into the main image. Magic wand in Paint.net is very nice, can be fiddly but works well.
Because Microsoft are slowly removing the Control Panel from Windows 10 to move the items into the Settings App, i won't be adding that option to show the Control Panel on the desktop. Mainly because it may cause problems in the future when the feature is totally removed from Windows 10.
New logs, only SLIC informations from modified BIOS are still incorrect. I suppose that is caused by UEFI boot. sadly i cannot fix that as there is so many variables involved, such as how the slic mod was added, the type of slic mod (ssv, ssv2, ssv3 etc) and also the UEFI can have some effects too. To add all that checking would make things more complicated than it is necessary. As long as the slic works and your system activates, then that is just a cosmetic glitch for now. Maybe in the future i will add the extra code to check against other variables, but for now i can't put in the time needed to do that.
QT44.0 is in testing... If UEFI (or Secure Boot) is detected then a message about the 'SLIC ID/Version may not show correctly' will appear. Until i can work around the glitch. Code: Other Notes: - SLIC ID or Version may not show correctly with UEFI or Secure Boot enabled. Also the drive model name for the boot drive should now show on Windows 7 took a bit of fancy programming but managed to now hopefully show the Model Name of the drive. If none detected it will either not show the line, be an empty space or N/A displayed depending on what is returned from the system call. It will not show on Vista or Server 2008 as i doubt that the calls used are present. So for those OS's only the basic info will be shown for the boot drive. Still experimental and may not work perfectly all the time! Also limited the drive Model Name to 80 characters , so if the name is longer than 80 chars i will have to adjust the length. But that should be enough for now.
