MRP v83.0 is at test stage 4 now. :)

A few adjustments been made to make sure any error checking is up to date.

ETA for v83.0 --- Hoping by late Monday 5th Feb, as a few refinements might need to be done. Will keep you posted about progress.

QT v48 ETA Hopefully by tomorrow evening {GMT}.

Quite a lot of work has been done with MRP a few re-writes for some sections.

The short break i had has helped me focus more and fix bits that worked but i wasn't 100% happy in the way i had written the code now that has been corrected and the routines are more, well i not say elegant, but they are better than before. :)

** End of Query Tool report. **

This test was with a genuine MSDM (Dell) but edited to have 'Test' as the brand name to show how it will be displayed on a computer with one of those strange MSDM tables.

Will release it tomorrow as busy with MRP code at moment. :)

    Just gone midnight here (GMT)...

Query Tool v48.0 uploaded and 2nd post download link updated and new password. :)

    Quick Summary
Not a huge amount done, just the MSDM routine to now display any name found for the 'brand' if there is one. To cover the new MSDM tables that don't have a known brand.

A few little other tweaks done just a little tidy up here and there.

New firmware was partially resolved this issue. It's probably caused by AMD AHCI drivers and Windows 7.

Secure boot can be a bit of a swine to get the info correct because it not only stored in the registry it is also on WMIC. So i cant get it 100% perfect. Plus with Secure Boot on it can affect SLIC detection not sure why, the QT does mention in the display/log if UEFI/SBoot is on that some data may not be correct.

MRP 83.0 will become baseline :)

It's been battered tonight with all the HWID testing and performed with no glitches (well none so far as we know those sneak in later on!) :p

So tomorrow i will get it out of RC/Test and Baselined then uploaded along with the new Config Creator that has had a little make over :) The color was supposed to be a light blue but is sort of purple  but that just a cosmetic thing and not affect the program itself. :)

Just happy it wasn't bright pink

MRP v83.0 Baseline has been uploaded, 2nd post updated with new link and password.

+ Tweaked the MSDM routine that i wasn't 100% happy with as well as some other areas. They worked before but could glitch on some VM's, rare, but it could happen. Thanks Enthousiast for finding that obscure bug!

+ Added a new Option, 'Block Cortana'. While MRP does NOT remove any files related to that process it does however block its output to anywhere. Firewall blocks are in place and also turns it off on the lock screen and no longer chimes in when unexpected! The search box is changed to a magnifying glass icon and any searches are LOCAL to your PC only and does not do any online searches via Bing etc.

In testing (for past couple of months) the Cortana block has worked on my personal computers and even monthly CU updates not reset it back on. A major OS update such as from RS2>RS3 or RS3>RS4 etc would probably reset all the settings as it does for most of the OS, because it technically is a whole new OS install.

The process of Cortana is still present this is to allow the search feature to still work, (not that the Windows search is that great anyway!), but any 'chatter' is reduced to virtually nothing i cannot say it is 100% blocked as there could be a sneaky way it 'leaks' something beyond the known tweaks/firewall blocks used.

+ Quite a lot of work has been done in the code sections, making sure Error checking is up to date and working as it should, if it is triggered.

Most of the changes you won't notice as the areas may not output anything into the saved log. This is why it looks the same as v82.0, there may be the odd clue of a change, more so if an error occurred.

+ A few minor changes to some wording here and there.

+ Config Creator v2.3 has had a little makeover as well as adding the Cortana Block Option and other bits... ;)

Looks like they almost finalizing the code for RS4, as it now says rs4_release and the other rs_prerelease.

Wonder what build number RS4 will be this time when it is released to OEMs, 0, 15, 30... :g:

New Query Tool (49.0) is being worked on, a 'experimental' part is being tested, which if works as intended it will be added into MRP as well.

quick question, is there a way to include a GenuineTicket.XML from a windows 7 install into MRP as a preactivation method for windows 10? looking to do a clean install of windows 10.

I've been playing around a bit and didn't see anything in regards to it. I'm trying to upgrade my PC from 7 ultimate x64 to 10 pro x64 and wanna maintain the OEM branding, I know genuine ticket.xml method works for win 10 activation on a clean install as that's what I've done to upgrade my Dell laptop, system brand changer doesn't yet work with win 10 build 1709 so I was hoping to slip the genuineticket.xml into my MRP modified iso to preactivate instead of having to copy the genuine ticket manually after installation.

    It is possible...

But it is quite a bit of work, ie writing a script to do the job, making sure everything is in the right place etc.

Also once it has been used on the designated computer it is no longer required, so the ISO would have to be edited to remove the Ticket after use to prevent any problems later.

Is it worth all that hassle for a few minutes effort to manually move the Ticket to the right place etc ? , it is only done once per computer. :g:
