    MRP 85 is at Test stage 7 :eek:

    A few re-writes to some of the modules (more efficient), some minor rewording etc.

    As always most is 'under the hood' work so you might not 'see' the changes as such.

    Code is complete, it just little refinements and ETA for release will be a few days, if all goes well it will be Sunday or Monday. Depending on what needs to be tweaked. :p

    More details later...

    One way to get a graphics card fitted :p

    The QT is detecting things a lot better now. :)

    It not be 100% perfect but it seems to be holding up to the hardware changes...

    MRP 85 should (it does so far) address the AHCI bits and show the right information ie NVMe if present etc.

    MRP 85 shows this now:

    [AMHDC] Controller Mode : AHCI {IDE Controller}

    if the controller mode was via scsi it will show something like:

    [AMHDC] Controller Mode : NVMe/PCIe {SCSI Controller}

    ;)

    MRP 85.0 Baseline has been uploaded and 2nd post updated with new link and password. :)

    Quick Summary

    + Updated quite a few bits of code. Error checks and some routines adjusted.

    + Updated the BIOS/BOOT mode line with more accurate detection information.

    + Enhanced PID.TXT and Retail.txt detection's.

    For more detailed information see the Changelog. :p

    Got to test stage 10 :eek: as always thanks to @Enthousiast for helping test MRP85, this one was fun. :p

    Released earlier than mentioned as only a few little refinements was needed. Mainly in error checking and a few re-wordings here and there.

    gVLK key detected (default or entered during Setup screen) :) which will flag up the KMS Status Reason code if it not activated.

    [AMBPS] Secure Boot : N/A {VMware} I forgot i added that bit in :oops: which is correct as cannot pick out S/boot under Vmware, only M$ HyperV you can use secure boot emulation.

    I dont even think VBox does S/Boot either, it didn't a year or so ago.

    VirtualBox supports UEFI (not for Windows 7 due to missing CSM) but it doesn't support SecureBoot at all. VBox UEFI support is still experimental (it doesn't save settings).

    Was a couple of years ago when i used to use Vbox a lot. i remember the efi testing they did, i got it to work a couple of times but it was very fussy. I then went to VM player, which nativity not have EFI, but with a little tweak to the .vmx file you could use Uefi mode on that too :)

    As far as i know only M$oft's HyperV allows secure boot emulation. Not tried Xen etc but i doubt it have that in either.

    To use EFI on VM Player open the .vmx config file and enter this line at the bottom.
    Code:
    firmware = "efi"
    Save and the VM will be able to use EFI :)
