OEM's (MRP-Branding-Only.7z) Updated: ZOTAC OEM brand added - note: Theme/Branding ONLY! See change log for more details. Happy Holidays Everyone!!
Server took some beating! As well as hard drives installing them all and testing/retesting etc. But at least now Servers can be branded, it may not be 100% perfect on them all but a whole lot better than nothing!
Good to see you are getting it worked out my friend. I just got back home from personal business. Glad that is over. Now I can get back to my "normal" life.
It may not be 100% perfect on all Server versions but it does save a LOT of time, at least most of the hard work is pre-installed so to speak. Plus makes it look a bit prettier than boring grey lol. It was a challenge to research what went where and if it didn't, to work out why and what order of Features needed to make it happen. I know not many will probably make use of the Server branding side but it all interconnected and easier to maintain the MRP as one download instead of two versions. As the project just ignores the Server parts when non Server Editions are installed. Wow over 100 downloads already, last version was well over a 1000. Thank you all for using the Project. The SSD check program may not detect all M.2 type drives, technically it 'should' but as I don't own one to test, it was theory only, standard SSD via SATA should be detected ok. Non SSD's the 'DrvType' static variable returns HDD. You can check the DrvType variable in a CMD window, just type SET and press return. Barring any bug fixes this should be the last update for this year. Hope everyone has a good time.
Hello! Thank you for this project! I've used it and customised it completely to my liking, it works like a charm! I'm just stuck on 1 thing, how can I change the theme name that appears in Windows after install? Renaming theme file for install doesn't solve this.
Hope everyone has had a good day I forgot to post project log if you are using an SSD, Vbox allows you to set the drive as one so i could run a test and see if it detected the 'ssd'. Was a mad rush to get MRP all uploaded in time that i now realize i totally forgot to post it so here it is now. Here is the log output: (using LTSB). Thanks @Enthousiast, I wasn't sure with all the changes in the latest Insider that the project might need to be adjusted. Looks like M$ has not altered anything - YET!
OMG! I am in the Insider program, but not downloaded a 'preview' for a long time. I have heard about the blue light switch too. There again Cortana not like me, probably shut my pc down like it did when it first appeared It was quite funny, i was doing something away form the PC and swore at my printer not working, She come up with a message about Not liking profanities and shut my pc down! I was like WTF?!? since then she has been duck taped and left in the corner.
Silent Update: Query Tool now at v14, Build 3. + Added ZOTAC OEM brand. - Removed the OS long name line due to sometimes it gets the number wrong, no idea why, its not important/needed for the QT to function. + Fixed the BIOS string/name, sometimes it read it wrong and gave an error so used the short name version. No other changes made to the QT. Knew i had forgot something! Done all the other uploads and totally forgot the QT, poor thing was all lonely lol.
QT request Hi bro, Could you add a SKU line below OS name? For example: Code: OEM INFORMATION FOR THIS MACHINE -------------------------------- OS Name: Windows 10 Home Single Language [x64] SKU: CoreSingleLanguage
Nope. Under which section in the report it is? I'm servicing a brand new Dell lappy.
