Finally back online properly Took the engineer over an hour to trace the cable break in the cabinet(s) i say cabinets as he had to check quite a few (8) to find the one with the broken linking and the one with the cable break was almost half a mile a way. While i was offline i have moved onto RC5, nothing new added just a few rewording's and an extended debug log. All being well Monday it should be ready for baseline release.
i see it picked MSI from the board's DMI. Has the board been changed from its original one? I know PBell like a few other makes in that era used other boards and then edited the DMI to their own Packard Bell BV DMI information.
Must of been one of the later ones when Acer just took over and they not adjusted the DMI or add a SLIC (which would of been 2.1). PBell only went up to 2.0 SLIC as i never seen a 2.1 packard bell one, only the later Acer one.
MRP is at RC6 and final RC stage. With the 'Turn off all background apps' in the creator if you select this option you will now see a pop up message box stating that on RS5+ builds it can cause known problems with this option in that the Start Menu, Action Centre etc may not function correctly. I have put in place within MRP that if RS5+ is detected it will auto disable this option, however for the time being that part is not active, as i am monitoring the situation with this background app all off problem. It may be just a glitch Microsoft will fix or it may also have been done on purpose - who knows what the reason is. If you wish to have this option auto disable for RS5+ builds i can activate this routine. Let me know as i not wish to screw up anyone's installation due to this glitch. It does not seem to affect RS4 or below Windows 10 builds. I will be be out until late evening due to some work i have to do and when i return i will see what your thoughts are on this. As i mentioned the routine to auto disable the option is deactivated at the moment, but is in place ready.
