MRP 100 RC1 was tested with the new option - so far so good. Will post more details a bit later as got a job to go to now and will be a little while time i get home.
Odd it should of detected it from the registry... Debug log shows it and that uses the same registry query. Although saying that on my debug log tests it not always show, however the QT always does (if it is available). Bizarre!
Have added the updated OEM brands into OEM's.7z that have been done so far. Lenovo, i have added the new one as Lenovo2, Lenovo = Old Blue design, Lenovo2 = New Orange design. They won't be selectable via the creator as it would cause a lot of hassle within MRP re-code everything to get it all to work and would delay v100's release even longer. If you wish to use the new Orange branding, simply open OEM's.7z delete Lenovo folder first and rename Lenovo2 to Lenovo and you will be using just the Orange version. Maybe in a future release i will have it selectable as Lenovo-Blue and Lenovo-Orange - will have to see how much extra work that involves.
Query Tool v72.0 has been uploaded (finally after a few tweaks), 2nd post download link, password and hashes updated. Spoiler: Summary + Added Release ID for Windows 10, shows such values as 1511, 1703, 1709, 1803 etc. + Changed information about Max Memory Capacity to indicate that 4GB or below could mean per slot. This is due to the WMIC call having two return values which is confusing, so this is to say why it may look incorrect when the amount shown is less than expected. + Re-Added the boot drive health check, this is only for Windows 10 and will not show for any other OS's as results are not reliable. Code: Results: ======== OK = Seems to be all ok. Warning = Detected some errors or failures - S.M.A.R.T problem? Needs checking! Un-Healthy = Detected errors or issues that require checking. Unknown/Other = This should not usually be shown, possible errors or result malfunction. ** Also reason codes updated slightly. (forgot to add that to change log)
MRP v100 is at RC2 stage and is progressing nicely. Was a couple of strange glitches but those been sorted. As it is the Centenary Release, i am taking time to thoroughly check each new change to ensure this one is not pulled due to some major showstopper. As mentioned there is a new option (for Windows 10 only), to set Windows Update to Notify, it is experimental and does not work on Core/Home Editions as the tasks and registry entries are ignored in those Editions. If the option is used along with the set all connections to metered one it certainly prevents the OS from just auto downloading them. I have tested this 'tweak' for a few months and nothing was downloaded by force and only updated if i pressed check for updates, and then i had to click download after it checked and found some, it didn't just start unless i gave it the go ahead. I say experimental in that M$ could at anytime change the mechanism and bypass this tweak. For now it gives you some control of when you want to update.
Hmm i just noticed that too. Its used the SLIC name for some reason. Unless the Loader confused things.
https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...l-project-mrp-mk3.71555/page-179#post-1460210 The same motherboard but the old Query Tool v70.1
The QT is correct, MSI is the branding theme and activation would be Acer due to the loader setting, (or if there was a SLIC mod done with Acer SLIC then it would show the same). If you not used the loader as there is no slic table it would of been shown as Un-Listed. Confused me for a while and i was looking in the QT code to see if i made a mistake, plus it is early morning and the coffee not kicked in yet
