6 minutes from start to end, nice, then noticed you have an SSD lol. On a standard HDD i managed to get a best time of about 11 minutes. Slowest was about an hour, when i got stuck in Audit mode that time lol.

The branding part is the the most intensive and i can see the speed up has made a difference. :D

The part after branding has a few WMIC calls and they are sluggish, even so it looks like the tweaks have helped.

All being well this will be the new baseline release very shortly, will wait until sunday to see if any bug reports come in that need fixing. If none then I will take it out of beta.

    Thank you for testing.

I 'doctored' my project log times,, was ashamed of 27 mins it actually took. nForce chipset on that test pc is pants, i did a disk speed test thing, usually its burst rate is 100mb/s, but that pc, burst is 52 (if lucky 68ish), and chugs along about 40 ish. Its a old pc, but as long as it still keeps going. :)

AMD X2 2.7Ghz Athlon. 4gb ram and a new 1TB HDD. nForce 9xx chipset. Will update it to something better when i get some finances sorted.

Wonder how fast it would install on one of those super fast M.2/4 SSD's... :g: not that i can afford one or even the motherboard that takes one for a while lol.

I am going to test the audit mode addition now. I have added the project to the install.wim because if not when you do a recovery unless its added to the wim/esd file it will not have project included in the recovery for win10. Will post log file with results soon. :)

The audit mode switch i had to adjust timing between states, when entering Audit via ctrl-shift-f3 the project 'pauses' properly now.

You can restart as many times as required to do your bits in audit mode.

Exit audit mode back to oobe (I now always do a shutdown from the sysprep window, then boot up the pc after its shutdown), and the project carries on with the rest of its tasks. :)

Will address any issues, (fingers crossed none - famous last words lol), when i get back. :)

For some odd reason I cant install vmware tools so cant post log file but everything went smoothly. Runonce reg entry was present and applied. Going to do a recovery now to see if project is present within the recovery image. Will post results on recovery soon...

    Great job brother. :) :hug2:

Note: I am doing a win10 complete reset to see if project still holds. It should since I added the project to the install.wim. :)

Seems when you do a complete reset as if you were selling you computer win10 wipes drive and doesnt install the OS from recovery since everything is wiped out. Going to try again with only removing my files to see results but have to do the whole process over again. I will do this later on today when I get back home. I will then post result from this test.

Update: "Resetting this PC 19%" C drive only...

Guess I wont be using this project on my lappy if installing win10 in the future. After a recovery no images from project are present. Seems windows is downloaded again is my only guess because I edited my install.wim so no way other then online downloading for recovery purposes. It was worth a shot but this project isnt possible if creating a recovery image. M$ insists on its own images. Probably to stop this project if trying to make true oem with recovery. Need third party software for imaging instead of windows crapware.

I am beginning to think that M$ is either targeting MRP , or OEM's in general.

Being paranoid? Of course you should be. Is not possible this MRP has issues like these just out of thin air.

Definitely M$ is pulling its weight about oem branding. NO doubts.

I created recovery usb drive and extracted the reconstruct.wim file....User pics are not included, theme is not included, does have oobe/info/wallpaper images but without other files they are not applied. Yes, M$ is targeting branding for sure. Not sure its this project or branding in general but something is up with win10. I know oem's use their own image creation software thus why theirs work. Think if wanting to oem brand with this project, third party imaging app is needed, not M$ crapware.

Note: This applies to creating a recovery image only. If you do just the install of course this project still works, just not for recovery.

Its slowly coming to the sad day that users are no longer able to easily tweak the OS how they wish without having to in a simple word 'butcher' the damn thing. Then if you not exactly sure what you are doing the results will not be as expected!

With ever more integration of crAPPS etc and Cortana more present, for now we can remove it and tweak certain things, but for how much longer?

I am guessing the OEM's have to pay a hefty fee to have the tools and information on how to do their branding etc.

For now the project works ok for standard installs. Plus now you can use Audit for other tasks you may want to do, but as The_Guardian mentioned, for recovery type ways its more hassle. Unless you use 3rd party imaging.
