MRP is now at Baseline Candidate 1 stage Two new options added for Windows 10 Only: 1) Disable Activities - as mentioned in a previous post. 2) Prevent Telemetry - This attempts to stop most 'Telemetry' aspects such as: Setting Feedback/Reporting to Basic/Never, disable Digitrack, CEIP and AppCompat. You will still need to do your own tweaks or use Wintel.cmd if you wish to go further. Note: Using either one or both of the above options you may notice some OOBE screens do not show. This is a odd side effect but MRP should set the Telemetry ones to 'off'. Works same sort of way if you used AutoUnattend.xml to skip those screens, but this is not using any XML - it is done purely by reg entries and disabled tasks. Also fixed the EnhancedSearch routine which sometimes not set it and left it as Classic. Plus added new error checking so that if SSDTweaks or DisableSearchIndexing is used then this option will not work. QT v99.0 is also almost ready.
Query Tool v99.0 has been uploaded, 2nd post download link, password and hashes updated. Spoiler: QT 99.0 Summary + Will now show if Windows 10 has either the Feature or Quality Updates status has been 'Denied/Disabled' or Enabled {=default}. + Shows the status of the 'Windows Firewall', if it is enabled or disabled etc. + Shows the CPU0's Microcode data. + Updated Reason Codes. + Some internal code re-optimization. MRP v117 is at BC5 stage and will be ready for release by the end of this weekend.
Quote from the QT changelog: What is written here is true for Windows 10 ONLY. Windows 8.x still supports the D3D test.
Code: System Model Name : HP Stream Notebook PC 14 HP Stream - i had one of those little notebook things, was ok but gez was it slow, mainly as it had one of those eMMC 32gb drives, i think i used it to test the QT/MRP at one time before i sold it on. I think that too had one of those 'invalid' type MSDM's in which no brand name was used and at that time it confused both projects. It was useful to 'fix' that glitch, if not much other use for myself
Don't mention that, it reminds of that medion thing with also no brand name in msdm, but worked anyway
A small delay in releasing MRP 117 as testing a new option, it was to be w8.x/10 only but due to translation issues it has been set for w10 only for the time being. Not sure if many will find a use for it Change 'Network Category' (its M$ name), or location we may think it as.... This option when used on w10 will show a Desktop Context-Menu 'Network Category' and 2 sub-menus called 'Private network' and 'Public network'. It should be auto-translated to the OS's native Language, but if something causes an error or cannot be renamed, it should default to English. This will change the network location between Public/Private without having to go hunting for the setting in the Settings app or Control Panel etc.
