it a bit awkward to sneak a few zzzz's in the server room for two reasons one the noise and two its so bloody cold in there so i try to sneak some zzz in the staff room when i can.
Back on topic, i will sort the new flag out tomorrow for when the msdm early option is used so that the 2nd check of the msdm is ignored.
Testing MRP 128 RC5 with new flag set if the 'use msdm early' option is used.... So that it will insert the msdm key , if available, early as requested and not show the error later on when the routine has already ran.
ok MRP 128 is at RC6 stage. The main change is the option to insert the MSDM key early, it seems to fail to run properly with the enhanced changes on 8.x and it may also fail randomly on w10 too, so i have removed the option from the Creator and MRP 128+ will no longer perform that early MSDM key action, even if manually set to 'Yes' on the entry, if added/present. The MSDM routine in the addon manager will still run as did before if there is a valid MSDM key.
Good night. Today I had the opportunity to test the project again on Windows 10, which remains not working, even using the generic ei.cfg file. The log file that usually sits at the root of the drive has not been created. In Windows 7 it worked, but in 10 it doesn't work.
Still a few bits to get sorted with the new MSDM key routine, but getting close, i found that 8.1 'CoreConnected' MSDM does upgrade to 'Win 10 Core' but the new routine missed that and said the key was not used as not a OS Edition match, which it was technically. Hopefully sorted that now, the odd thing was that the laptop installed Win 10 Core with no problems and actually activated using the 'CoreConnected' key, which the routine said it had not used, on checking the extra logging i did the routine did insert the MSDM key but then for some odd reason then skipped past the flag to say it has been saved and applied! I did say the routine was complex! Basically this is the last bit that is holding back the MRP 128 being released. It HAS to be correct in its function or it may not insert a MSDM key when it should or insert it when it should NOT.
MRP 128 is now at BC1 stage, hopefully a short set of test sessions as it just now a matter of last minute spelling checks and writing of the change-log, which is quite long!
