You are right but i am not doing this as a favor, this is a community and its kinda open source project thingy. So when i use this project Its only fair that i put back my efforts if it makes this project better. As i am Professional Graphics Designer so i am giving back in my own way but its not a favor its like giving back to the community.

it is not at all necessary to update this OEM from OEM's.7z. It works with the original files from OEM as I have already described in my instructions without any problems.
    Nobody does unnecessary work

Where do you think many of the existing stuff came from?

Just because I said that no one does unnecessary work, it doesn't mean angry. You don't have to change the files because it works in the original state of the files.
Sometimes people have to admit that some work is unnecessary.

Don't worry. If you can improve OEMs, I don't mind. Better is always better I just made a guide on how it works with the original files without any problems. But nothing more than that. I mean no people angry.

The old oem's.7z with current images (from MRP v130) will be available as a separate download, so no panic if the updated versions not appeal.

It is good to refresh things once in a while as they get stagnant plus it keeps up with any latest brand designs, the last one was Lenovo with the orange and blue varieties.

The OEM's.7z contents does not have to be as they are, there is nothing stopping anyone changing the images etc within for their own use, as long as they are not renamed or altered in resolutions for the image files as MRP does a simple name check so it will not use them if they are not spelt correct, the OS's will adjust some images to 'fit' but it not always a perfect solution.

My graphics skills are almost zero and i appreciate the help @l30 does as i have tried in the past to update some wallpapers/brand images -- they was 'passable', but at the time there was no available decent images to use for those new brands which was added.

    Other news:
MRP v131 will be Baseline Candidate 1 tomorrow. :)

I have uploaded v2.2 of the Branding tool for those in the beta testing convo. Very close to being the final product for the time being.:)

Well time to get back to work...

    I agree with you all
If he can shrink the OEMs.7z from 36.5 MB to eg 5 MB, that's a bonus (if the files do keep the same quality).
I do have 1 comment, in the OEM's.7z there are 147 folders, isn't it better to send only 10 rar's instead of all the letters, so 147 times.
@ l30 so do your best.

I remember the huge oem's size it was because it had several resolution wallpapers which does help with quality of images but takes up so much space.

I doubt the archive size will be much below 20~25mb because some files wont compress more, will see how it goes.

The project has always had one single oems archive and to look for several would be a nitemare.

I was trying a routine that would only extract the selected brand by dmi or custom theme from the oem's zip instead of a full extraction of all, but scrapped that idea because it was not easy to get to work as if the slic or msdm brand was used instead it threw the routine out of sync, so that idea never made it in.

I try to balance things as much as possible so if there is a glitch it can be sorted quickly within the time i have to code things.
