To prevent thread clutter it probably best to put into alphabetical archives ie all A named brands, B , C etc, plus it easier for me to keep track in batches than as 140+ individual ones.
I think its a great idea i just Shared Z complete series, from now own i will put all of the Brands Alphabetical order.
Sadly i was not able to get latest mrp 131 released as monday and last nights shift was a almost non stop on the go, plus called in earlier. Today i just slept, got something to eat when i got up and with chores in the home to do i not had time today either. Hoping tomorrow morning (gmt) i will be able to get it all archived etc. I not added the new oem images yet so they will be added for v132. Sorry about that.
MRP v131.0 has been uploaded, the 2nd post's download link, password and hashes updated. Spoiler: MRP 131 Summary + Added option to use the 'Baseboard Product Name' for the Model Name, this will override any user entered name or the other DMI one. If there is no Base Product Name detected MRP should revert to either the user entered name or the automatic method as before. Failing the above it may be set as blank to prevent errors. + For Windows 10 20H2 there is a option to show 'OEM Info' which will for the time being, (until m$ remove that 'feature'), open the 'Show Basic Information' screen instead of the new way of being via the Settings>About. This option's Context Menu item should be translated into the OS's native Language, fall back will be English {en-US}. This option will be auto disabled on later OS Builds as it is no longer operative. + Also for Windows 10 a option to set ALL explorer window's views to 'Details' note that on some installations some Library views may be set to their default views, also on some Languages the drive's view may be reset to 'Tiles/Icons' it depends on how the OS's kernel handles the tree view's. + The Creator program has been updated with the above options and had some slight changes to wording on a few of the tool tips. The OEM Brand images will be updated next time and a copy of the current OEM's.7z file will be available to download for those who like to use the current ones. There may be slight wording changes in the change-log or spelling errors, the above summary text is correct.
Will see if there is a way to still access the old Basic Information screen for later w10 builds, but it seems m$ are really pushing this modern Settings app which is not always as good as they wish.
Yea 20H2 seems to work fine, just that Details view/group options isnt doing 100%, its not grouping objects in This PC "by Type" but I had that issue before
I have mentioned on the option that it may not be 100%, as each OS/Build or maybe the later CU's seems to alter things, sadly nothing i can do about it as to have a set for every OS/CU would not be productive. Will see if this pc's 'groupby' view can have 'type' view but i think why i didnt set it like that as on some builds it modified other elements which looked horrible. Can't promise anything but if you want to try a few test scripts at some point i might be able to see which part of the shellbags registry is the control for that group view.
Hi, Tested latest MRP version with Win10 pro 20h2. All works like a charm, wallpaper is OK, but not the logbackground : in C:/Windows/Web/Screen folder, files 100.jpg and 105.jpg are correctly backuped and renamed as 0100.jpg and 0105.jpg, but the windows 10 default one appears at restart (the 0100.jpg one). Not so important. Just a suggestion for next version : is it possible to export the different registry settings (ie. "My PC" and Desktop context-menu) : I observed that some tweaks disappear when upgrading to a newer Windows version (in place upgrade keeping files and programs), so it could be possible to re enable them without formatting.
