Hmm looks like m$ are messing about with apps on insider builds again.... I see maps appeared/not removing.... Probably like xbox, part of another service appx grrr I not be beaten
MRP 134 is at Test 5 - no problems so far A few changes within the internal code, nothing spectacular just a few enhancements that should speed up some processing, also hopefully sorted that Maps app still being shown on the latest insider builds.
Its the S3 SiS graphics that trip 8.x+ as i could never get a driver to work properly or at all on 8.x/10, so that laptop will be on 7 or Linux, (if that still supports SiS chipsets).
I got the driver they have available for 7 (which actually was made for Vista) to work but it crashed randomly
MRP v134 is at RC1 stage, final tests and adjustments being done. All being well will be released by the end of this week. QT v112 is now at RC9 stage - on final bits too. One added part is that now on Vista/7 kernels the RAM type (Memory Type) can be hopefully detected correctly, such as DDR, DDR2 etc as it was skipped as details was unreliable before. This too should be released by the end of the week. Note on HP/Compaq and VM's most memory items are skipped to prevent errors, there is a method being tested that should over come those false/erroneous results, but it is not quite ready for use at this time as more work is needed on the routine.
Will see if i can merge the new routine into the QT tomorrow as it looks like it is detecting the ram type better.
Have merged the new Memory Type detection into the QT , but only for Vista/7 kernels and the new routine only detects DDR, DDR2, DDR3 and DDR4 at the moment, there is a fall back if the new routine returns nothing or zero it will then use the old method to see if it can determine any other types such as SDRAM etc. If nothing can be found then 'N/A {00}' or no line in the report will be shown for the 'Ram Design'. For VM's and problematic brands (HP/Compaq) some parts of the memory information may not be shown as previously mentioned to prevent false/erroneous info. QT 112-RC10 is in testing... Final stage now..
