Was that key added into the MSDM table? If so that is why my checks not determine the key, the database has the id number, but as i only check for Core Variants (SL CConnected etc)/Pro (some Pro variants ie ProEdu - not that i seen any of those yet), MRP will say Unable to determine the key if it outside the limit i set. As most PC's are Core or Pro i shortened the checklist to those types as they are the most common, however the limit can be extended as any new variants that have the OEM-DM arrive on the scene. I allowed for future planning and adaptations.

15055 Nice to see MRP still working on the latest rs2 insider Was worried they do a tweak like they did in the Jan rs1 refresh that screws up the lock/login screens.
Just noticed, 170307 guess that the new version when rs2 out as 'RTM' ?? Or should that be 1704 (April i think they said Creators out)
I noticed that on first-time installs of Win 10 on a machine, the Win 8 Core key is often refused when trying to install it. After already misusing the 440 file i created 441 and 442 for a more realistic Win 10 Testing . just a quick question, i intend to use this to re-install win7 on laptops that had oem win7 installed. after creating the dvd do i just use it to install the os as one normally would? does it automatically enter oobe mode and activate the os during reboot? I know this is a question probably asked many times but i cant seem to find the answer. thanks
If you add the $oem$ folder as it is from the MRP archive, into the Sources folder of the ISO/USB of the Windows 7 disk/usb you will be re-installing from, MRP will handle the rest. If the PC has DMI information for branding ie for the logos etc for say Acer, HP etc then it will auto insert those like the OEM would. Also it will query the bios for a SLIC if one matches, MRP will insert the key for the brand and certificate automatically. Your pc will then hopefully be branded and activated - without any bloatware that the OEM's usually shovel into their disks/recovery partitions. Oobe will be as it would be if you was using a generic Windows 7 image/disk, same screens, username, etc. Put $oem$ into sources, save the image if it a ISO or once saved to a USB stick, reboot and let it install.
If you are using the project on a HP laptop, also download the new OEM's Only file extract the OEM's.7z , place that in the $OEM$\$$\Setup\Scripts folder and overwrite the original OEM's.7z file as this has the better wallpaper for HP without the white pixel line down the side. I will probably refresh the GoldenGate baseline with the new OEM's.7z soon so that it all nice and tidy. Cant at present as i am close to my limit of my bandwidth use for this month. So may do that when i can go to my friends house this week.
thanks for the reply, mind answering one more? if the laptop in question had a slic added to its bios by the previous owner will I still need to add the certificate to the hdd before installation? the reason I ask is one of the laptops i have i suspect this was done but id like to put a fresh copy of the os on so no junk is left from previous owners.
Nope nothing to add, as long as the BIOS has a valid slic for windows 7 then MRP will query it and do the rest for you fully automatic, if any problems the project.log (found on the root of the system drive of the laptop the OS installed on), will show anything that has failed to be installed, all being well it will be all ok. If the SLIC is different from the mainboard's branding say the laptop is a Acer and the SLIC is a DELL then the project will attempt to brand as Acer and the activation will be DELL. Or if the mainboard's DMI is not found/usable it will use the SLIC's name for branding. Only rare occasions something goes a bit off the rails but no harm will be done. It will either brand & activate, brand or activate or say why it failed on either part. *added* All the current SLP keys and the certificates are present within the project.
MRP R54.1 Refresh. MRP54_1_GoldenGate_12th_March_2017-Refresh.7z -- Uploaded. This refresh is the same as R54.0 just added the OEM's.7z with the fixed HP wallpaper so that no white pixel line should appear. Just incremented the 54.0 to 54.1 so that i know where i am in the versions. Plus it makes it all neat and tidy.
