Considering m$ says W11 was built from the ground up - it just proves they was not quite truthful because the WMI system still is stuck in the 32 bit days!!
I feel the line in wintel.cmd shoudnt stop you from changing language or cause the issue but MS is MS.. I hope it works for you
I don't think it was Wintel.cmd because in the MRP log : Code: [EXTSR] ===================================== [EXTSR] ===[ External Add-On's Detection ]=== [EXTSR] ===================================== [EXTSR] No external Add-On's was detected or processed.
For the HVCI option in MRP 145+ it will only be allowed if OS Build is greater or equal to 19043 as a failsafe to prevent possible issues with the setting on lower build numbers. Also if a Server OS is installed (not ServerRDSH) the option will be ignored as you want a Server to be as secure as possible! Have uploaded the latest test decompile to the beta testing area which has this adjustment. Note: You will need to make sure you have the build 19043/4 enablement for w10 or have w11 installed for the option to be active.

Testing a new dropdown type option for MRP -- 'Wallpaper Style' -- it will be on the [EXTRAS] tab in the Creator - if it works then i will commit the new option for next release of MRP, it may need a bit of tweaking but it may be of use to some as i have had a few requests to add it but not had the time to get around to coding it. You will only have a few options to select: =AutoMatic= -- Use OS default setting or via the individual <brand>.theme files. Center -- Centralize the wallpaper image. Stretch -- Stretch to display size. {Default for Vista/6.0 Kernels} Fit -- Try to fit to screen size. {Win7 and above} Fill -- Like Stretch but expand picture to best fit. {Win7 and above} {Default for Win7 and above} I have ignored the use of 'Tiled' as it needs more coding and i don't think many use that setting so to keep the code simple only the selection above is available depending on OS. This will be only for the current/first created user and may require a reboot to make it set, which you should do after MRP and the OS has installed to set any options etc. At moment it won't be set for all users as the registry key is not present under HKLM. If all works as intended during our testing then i may also add it for any new user created later.
In testing it seems the theme is locked to a default value and even though MRP's tweak changes the numeric value even after a restart (or two) the wallpaperstyle was still reset to the OS default. If i manually edited the value in the registry ( HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop > WallpaperStyle ) and restarted explorer.exe it would set to the new value Needs a bit more work i think... It is experimental On W10 21hx and above (may be on all w10's?) there is a new style called Span (value 22 decimal) i think this for multi-monitors so all have same desktop picture? Will add that later once all sorted.
Will add Span also for 8,1 and above Never saw that on w7 or below so i guess it was a new addition, all docs ive found so far only list the ones i had added and no mention of Span. Just got to find a way to make the change work - the option is only active after the oobe stage and as soon as the desktop appears because before then the HKCU registry hive is not available as it not been created. Still not understand why the change does not 'take' even when i add it as a runonce cmd file that is run when a reboot/logout+in cycle is done.
Added Span into the coding. It will get ignored and OS default used if OS below 8.0 Testing continues... *Update 27-April 2022* Working but you will need to reboot or logout/in cycle to make it set correctly as using RunDLL32.dll updateperusersystemparameters can cause 'hanging' when used on w10+ so have not used that method to 'force' refresh. A stop/restart of the Explorer.exe service may also work but i will not add that into the code as that too can cause issues during setup etc as the OS not like certain things messed with when setup is still in progress.
Question: MRP seems to lack some OEM:SLP keys for the Windows 7 E SKUs Code: [OSINF] Full Name : Microsoft Windows 7 Starter E [OSINF] Stock Keeping Unit # : 66 [OSINF] Version {Product} : Windows 7 Starter E - Service Pack 1 [OSINF] Version {SKU} : StarterE [OSINF] Edition {Registry} : StarterE . . . [XRMAM] Reason: No valid OEM-SLP Key was available for this Edition. [N1] With the sole exception of Windows 7 Home Basic E (and of course Enterprise), OEM:SLP keys for Windows 7 E SKUs are known (HP/Compaq). I know Windows 7 E is kinda niche, but could you add them, please? The official key topic covers them: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-7-oem-slp-key-collection.10370/
Added StarterE, ProfessionalE and UltimateE OEM-SLP keys for HP/Compaq as available on MDL. Had to rewrite the KEY section because the old method would see Starter and StarterE the same and could pick the wrong key for that Brand. @Carlos Detweiller if you want to test the new method , i have uploaded the latest test decompile to the beta-test area. I have used a easier method that should be 100% fool proof as there are only 3 'E' editions plus it will be brand independent... This method does not affect the original way as it just bypasses it when a 'E' edition is detected.
