    [RPTSM] Remove most 'Pin To Start Menu' C/T Menu items.

    It basically is designed for the Recycle bin but it may affect other pinto to start menu c/t items...

    Will probably expand on this option later.

    The OEM's.7z within the main MRP archive contains all the brands that L30 has done, plus a few new brands i added after.

    Some i have only altered the <brand>.theme file to be more compatible with win 7 kernels. :)

    Note that not all options are used in my personal tests as i try to mimic a general standard type installation a user may apply for normal use.

    @Enthousiast's tests use all available ones to thrash test, this also helps find glitches when a option can interfere with other ones, plus allows me to adjust code where needed so that only options allowed for a particular OS or Build etc are used.

    MRP v145.0 has been uploaded, 2nd post's download link, password and hashes have been updated. :)

    + Added 'Force W11 Local Account' - On home/core editions make sure the pc is *NOT* connected to the internet or the option will not work. For Pro and above it not matter but it is wise not to be connected during the early stage to make sure when using this option. You can always connect later.

    + Added 'Remove Pin To Start' option for W10/11 this is mainly for the recycle bin, it may be expanded later to cover other areas.

    + Fixed the 'debug' log being created by mistake when the option is set to not use it.

    + Added Clevo branding, can also be selected via the creator as a custom theme.

    + Fixed the odd issue on w7 when the Sapphire brand's wallpaper was used that it not always set during oobe but was after a reboot.

    + Added a HVCI (Enable/Disable virtualization-based protection of code integrity) option - set only via oobe.cmd and will be ignored if certain criteria is not met.

    + Have adjusted MRP to no longer set the option 'DisableStoreAppUpdates' to 'Yes' when using the option(s) for removing any Apps or the 'preventing adverts' option, however this may cause the OS to reinstall any removed Apps when the next CU is applied.

    + CPU Family description database is not fully correct and so only the numeric value will be shown now until a newer method to get the database correct for the various SMBIOS results.

    + Added the Windows 7 'E' OEMSLP Keys for StarterE, HomePremiumE, ProfessionalE and UltimateE.

    + Added option to adjust the Desktop Wallpaper's 'Style' so it can be set as:

    =AutoMatic= -- Use OS default setting or via the individual <brand>.theme files.
    Center -- Centralize the wallpaper image.
    Stretch -- Stretch to display size. {Default for Vista/6.0 Kernels}
    Fit -- Try to fit to screen size. {Win7 and above}
    Fill -- Like Stretch but expand picture to best fit. {Win7 and above} {Default for Win7 and above}
    Span -- This is for OS's 8.x and above and will allow the image to be shown on any multi-monitor setup.

    The one called 'Tiled' is not added as it needs more coding and i don't think many use that setting so to keep the code simple only the selections above is available depending on OS. A reboot IS required after the OS has installed to allow the Style to be fully operative as to try and force restart the theme manager during installation can cause issues, such as a non responsive OS, or blank screen.

    + Re-enabled the Win11 Taskbar size option, but note this may not work on a later CU for earlier and/or later builds.

    + Fixed a few spelling errors and updated some log entries.

    There may be other bits and pieces done internally and not noted in the change log but they are nothing exciting just boring code tweaks. :D

    It seems that m$ are playing about with the latest w11 build(s)/CU in that some MRP options are being prevented from being used, due to this any new options will be tested for longer - roughly 2 or 3 insider builds to make sure they are still relevant before being committed to the projects main code.

    Some older options will have to be reviewed too as some are no longer working as expected. :(

    Cat and mouse time again *sigh*

    Very true about inconsistent!

    Take things out, move things about, add back stuff under a new name/idea....

    For example something added then taken out and now being re-added (i think):

    Old: Sets for Explorer ==> New: Tabs

    Inconsistencies with the 'Dark' theme too is still present...

    The list goes on :D

    Re-Run QT tool today again,
    and saw that I have PRO version OEM MSDM key.
    I always thought it was for the basic version,
    MSI did a good job this time.
    But I don't remember it ever came with -
    Windows 10 pro version.

    I had a asus board with a win 8.1 home msdm. Was bought off the shelf at a local pc world store, just a general boxed board.

    Sold it now but i used it for months for testing mrp and i think somewhere in my past qt reports it is shown as present.

    Possible it slipped through their testing area.

    Gigabyte sometimes shipped general boards in the past with a slic table but those are dummy types and unusable.

    You can never know what hidden gems you can find.

    Using a custom xml can sometimes skip oobe.cmd, rare but can occur depending on what is added into the xml file.

    But i think it is mainly because you had not used the ei.cfg as oobe.cmd will get skipped if a valid msdm is present.

    You could use a ei.cfg that has professional as edition and that would install pro with that install medium. I always use the _default edition one so i get to choose, but it all up to the user to decide.

    Most times the msdm gets converted to a hwid or subsumed as ms call it.

    Did few test .
    - Return my ltsc backup.
    - Convert it to iot, activate with hwid
    - Convert it back to ltsc, KMS vl activation
    - convert it to iot ..

    Show me OEM license !?!?!?
    Maybe Ms don't know the difference
    Between OEM and digital license ?
