That's only for making the option visible, which is OK. Selecting the actual value is then up to the user.
MRP v146 is now at BC1 (Baseline Candidate) hopefully once all these last checks are done it will be released this week, later than i wanted but it allowed for fixing a few little errors found along the way. Some spelling mistakes fixed which had slipped through the net in the QT and MRP Also some adjustments in wording that reflects some slight changes in some options.
Not sure what the sad face bit is on this line Code: Version/Revision : ={ Probably something with a invalid character which is then removed?
Yeah it is sad, as acer, a few years back, was one of the best brands bought in the UK, but recently they not as good - computer-wise. Acer Monitor's are not bad as mine is 3 yrs old and still going. My old acer laptop is in the bits drawer as not economical to repair it now.
MRP 146 BC2 is now being tested hopefully this will be a short BC test section as all code seems to be operational... Release will be soon Will finish off the QT 123 code too over next day or two as well. Been a long time the projects being sorted but illness and then the heatwave(s) not help and put back releases, but now back on track.
Thank you for your report. The changes between BC1 and BC2 are very little and just some re-wording basically and i had not uploaded BC2 to beta test area as not had any spare time
Have a OET exam {that helps to get staff into the NHS} tomorrow (every two weeks) so my weekend is busy again, plus heard another heatwave on way, will do my best to get the projects all done. Have managed to keep up to date with the changelog for MRP this time, the QT's one is a bit thin on the ground at moment even though a lot been done to it too.
The Query Tool v123.0 has been uploaded, the 2nd post's download link, password and hashes have been updated. Spoiler: QT123 Summary + Added the discovery of the installed 'DISM' version{s} plus any installed ADK/SDK versions. + Added a new check for the 22H2 upgrade experience, it will show if the hardware is compatible or list what is not. Flags for Green {OK}, Orange {Failed}, Red {Blocked} are hopefully shown along with some other information regarding the target OS check process. + Detects and shows some VC++ installs but only from 2010 and above. + Shows Target Release: Version and other Information {such as if locked to a build etc}. + Shows if allowed to download updates over a metered connection or not. + Now shows the RAM's manufacturer name (if available). + Some log parts have been moved to new positions for clarity. + Various other bits done that I not have any notes on what was done, but the main changes are listed above. Note some results may not be accurate due to the changes in some later CU's that can affect the results displayed. Also the RAM manufacturer name and/or serial numbers may also be incorrect as the results are just read from the WMIC results.
MRP 146 BC3 --> Added 'Create Restore Point' option to add to the desktop context menu. Windows 10/11 Only. This should be OS translated and at bottom section of the desktop C/T menu - if you use the option. It is a 'on demand' so when you use it then it then runs a PowerShell line so you will see a quick flash of a command window then UAC asking to allow use then PowerShell progress as it creates the restore point. This is the last option to be added this time as i have squeezed it in today
Have now just added line separators to that 'Create Restore Point' option to separate it from other items in the context menu Still in editor at moment finalizing the code ready for release.
