Looking through the debug1 log these entries stood out when defaults was used for the TitleBar and HighLight colors:
    Code:
    TB/HL Routine : [Error Occurred {HL}]
    TitleBar Color : [Classic]
    Highlight Color: [Default]
For some reason the code i had put in ages ago to check for default settings and skip certain parts was removed, it may of been when i was pruning the code base of the project, or a revert at some point.. This caused that line to state that some elements may not be set... mainly because they had been left untouched and the routine's flag/error catch was missing so it defaulted to those lines.

Now have added better checking so when the defaults are used then the flag(s) get set correctly and so the new log entry that defaults used will be shown again.

    Example:
    Code:
[WXSTB] Title Bar colorization: Set to 'Classic/Default' OS setting.
[WXSHL] Highlight colorization: Set as 'Default' OS setting.
The elements not set will be shown if the routine(s) actually fail to set some color parts, usually due to some OS permission issue in the registry, rare but can happen.

MRP 147 will have a improved DMI checking and the fixed TitleBar/HighLight routines.

Plus a few new bits maybe too. :)

how do you change back the logon wallpaper on vista to the default one, it's stuck to virtualbox one, nothing worked to get it back
tried all things, changed the wallpapers in "c:\windows\system32\oobe\info" didn't work, removing the whole oobe folder didn't work
changing OEMBackground value to 0 in the reg key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background
nothing, removing the dword value itself nothing,
    I dunno what's wrong !!

I not sure if it possible as with vista is has to edit a .dll file and insert the image.

As i not wrote that part or the exe that does the edit i cannot help as i no idea which dll file it edits. :(

@Alphawaves wrote the generic_2.exe utility program which MRP uses for a few things, i cant find the thread with the info on how to use the Generic program in the way to change the Vista background.

The part of code in MRP was written before i took over the project and i not touched that section.

The code to change the image is:

    Code:
    Generic_2.exe" /I="Imagetoinsert.jpg"
Open a Admin cmd or it will fail to change.

Image file size must be below 256kb.

    Attached Generic_2.exe.

This is for Vista/Server 2008 only!

For info about Generic and which dll file it changes please contact Alphawaves. :)

apparently the file responsible for the logon wallpaper is: c:\windows\system32\imageres.dll
but i didn't think that MRP might edit some system file like that especially regarding that tweak that shouldn't need similar thing afaik, or maybe it did i dunno,
but for windows 7 at least as i remember there was no need for editing any system file just the oobe folder makes the tweak.
as for changing the wallpaper i already found there is a program called LogonStudio that can change it easily,
but i wanted to know if there was a manual way that doesn't involve any utility, apart for reshacking the dll file, it seems not, it's okay

I had an idea it was imageres or posibbly shell32 dll.

Vista was a strange os more a testing ground for win 7.

I was a ms betatester for vista

Sp2 fixed a lot of the mess in vista but was too late as w7 was in progress with a better oobe stage and improved theme processing.

Without the dll injection the background dont change. The theme routine in mrp still sets the registry etc as otherwise a whole new routine would have to be written.

Even slic activation has to be handled in two stages for vista/server2008!

The part that sets the vista image24 via dll injection was written way before i took over the project in oct 2016 , as it worked i left it alone.

Quite a few updates in the theme processing in mrp has been done by me since but that just in the dmi side to determine which oem to use.

Updated the TitleBar colorization routine (again :D) in the next MRP v147...

There is now a 'Default' selection for the titlebar color in the creator, this is to make sure the color of the titlebar is set as default by the .theme or OS and not set as classic by mistake...

Classic is a semi-clone of the win7 aero color but it not quite the same due to changes in the theme processor in win10/11.

My test installs (lots of them today) worked as expected. :)

Log entries are now shown correctly depending on which settings used for the Titlebar and Highlight colors.

Tweaked a few routines in the next MRP 147, the DMI section had a slight update again, should be more efficient when checking for specific brands such as Aorus when needed.

Have uploaded for beta testers -- usual place.:)

When using latest Insider builds if the Setup fails with a 'AutoPilotUpdate' or other strange OOBE error of a similar name, it may be caused by using the option to temporary turn off internet during setup, it not happen on Win 10 or non insider w11 builds.

I am guessing it is that option which now affects the latest insider installs, probably m$ testing some new checks to see if there is any internet connection and if not aborts with some obscure error?

Have updated the next creator v51 when that option is selected that the pop up mentions it can cause issues....
