Terminal i had tried to disable it to use just command prompt but it would not work so gave up on that and left code as it was to switch from pshell. Might auto disable that option on the latest win 11 release as it is no longer operative on w11. More things ms are taking control off the user Im puzzled why phone is not working for them , if the wim was edited by ntlite etc it may affect some mrp functionality but then other options would be too if certain services are altered or things removed. Win 11 does have some strange quirks and finding work arounds is getting tougher.
Hopefully my test code for edge shortcut removal will work, although im guessing ms changed the edge install so it later ie just before you see the desktop appear so all tweaks to remove it have already been done and ignored at that stage. I have tried to find a way to remove the edge popup toast thing when setup finished but can't find it so edge must be setup later to prevent tweaks to shut it up. Time to log out as up in 6 hours
Done some edits for "Your Phone" and "Edge Shortcut Removal", it is experimental for the time being as Edge has changed since the original code was created, there are new policy edits and reg entries for it now for w10/11, so testing those... Doing a quick test install on latest w11 (2262x), will report soon...
Had to try and sort the glitch before i left for exam Fixed the abort however edge shortcut still reappears after a reboot It seems that shortcut gets put back on the Desktop regardless if i force remove it via clean up, appears it is somehow hard coded. Will test other methods when i get time. Your phone appears to work ok, just says there is a newer app. That is with the disable os adverts option set as well.

On our tests the phone feature was working How was the image created? Techbench or UUPDump ? I have done more checks in MRP v147 so that the Phone app will not be touched if not selected for removal, even when the remove all safe apps options are used, like i did with the XBox app, you will have to select the remove the Phone app via its own special option in the creator.

Something is not right as those errors should not occur.... The first method uses powershell which usually removes all bits, then if that fails there are other methods used (as shown)....
yes the wim is edited with MSMG, obviously it's the one causing problems, becuz they still exist with no $OEM$ folder included with the iso, the only tweaks i used from MSMG are those: Disable Windows 11 Installer Hardware Check Disable Automatic Download and Install of 3rd Party Apps Disable Automatic Download and Install of Microsoft Teams App Enable Windows Local Account Hide Taskbar Chat Icon i will have to recreate the iso disabling those tweaks and see again i hate this
i don't know what's this removing defaultuser0 and stuff i thought it's part of the MRP. anyways there is another problem settings search is not working lol
Ah that could explain the weird issues.... MRP was designed from the outset (way before i took over the project) to be used on a 'untouched' ISO to give the best experience ( i think that was the plan as no interferences etc ), even slipstreaming updates (win7 time) caused issues from what i read. Over time a lot of changes was made to work even with updates added, but then the tools for editing the wim directly appeared which altered the course of things, i have tried to work with those images but as there are so many tweaks and changes i cannot keep up, more so now on w10/11 because of the nature of m$'s ways remove one app or service affect something else as they all are intertwined just to make things difficult. Most of those you wanted to do are in MRP, apart from the disable hardware as that done earlier in the oobe setup than MRP, Teams is gone/prevented, 3rd party apps can be disabled, chat icon hidden... I know those are in the Creator somewhere
DefaultUser0 is something to do with OOBE (nothing to do with MRP) that is created during set up as a temporary user to allow the OS to be installed, on Server edition it is not present, not sure why on non server ones m$ cant clear it up too after installation... MRP just cleanly removes it when present after setup, well that the theory It not cause any harm but is a pain when you want a clean system as it cant be used as it is password protected by m$ (i think) and no password is known as far as i know.
yes i know those tweaks exist in mrp, i just never thought some tweaks may cause issues like this, microsoft is making simple tweaks a horrible experience now, anyways good thing to know that mrp is innocent lol
M$ have changed the goal posts again which even for MSMG etc it is a headache as alter one thing it affects several others now, I know MRP isnt perfect and never will be, but it does help a lot of people tweak there OS to a better experience than the stock untouched install. Believe me m$ are really clamping down on the OS, i have noticed that in some insider releases, remember the WMIC fiasco - they soon back tracked on that because they realised even their own internal tools in the OS used it, i bet someone got a ear roasting over that stupid decision to remove wmic
WMIC may have flaws in that it 32bit which causes issues with large numeric returns over 4Gib in size, but then even the much pushed Powershell has its faults too...
