Thanks for asking :hug2:, the past few days i have been not my usual self, a lot of things all at once happened which i could not process easy due to the cognitive section in my head which was damaged in 2019.

But i am a lot better today, i had to take a break away from the projects as i just could not focus on them, i had started a few updates but the wave of events threw me off track.

Yesterday i managed to update MRP 149 to TC4 which took the majority of the day for the actual tiny amount of code updates done, even managed a test install, luckily all ok and no problems with it :)

Last Saturday i had finished a small update for the GUI QT, but not got around to upload it as life started to fall apart for me.

Things should get back to some normality very soon, although i am not quite sure what normality is these days :D :D

Will try to get the GUI QT worked on a bit today and get it uploaded later on.

The updated GUI QT (5.04) has been a small challenge, moved some bits around and added the extra Keyboard info on the first tab so the keyboard data is close together.

I think i mentioned before that i have added extra OS(3) and storage(2) tabs to allow more info to be added in when i have managed to obtain it.

The GUI is at the maximum size i wish to set it, so it will still show on the minimum 1024 x 768 resolution, there is a little wiggle room but hopefully not need to max out to that and have possible issues later on.

Some tabs will have some more empty space on them but as time goes on that will soon fill out. :)

Just doing final tests and will upload the new version shortly :)

    MRP149 is at RC1 stage :D

Just added a last minute w11 option - to 'Disable the Driver Block List feature', but be careful with it because if the driver is too old or broken in some way then it can make the OS unstable!!

** Use at your own risk **

    MRP 149 at RC2 stage :)

    Added my last win7/8.x tweak:
Disable the 'Unsupported OS' message for most Chromium based browsers.

The registry area may get over written when a Chromium based browser is installed so i will also add it as a standalone script in the 'Optional Scripts Folder' too so it can be added later if required. For now it should work, but Google etc may add hardcoded checks later on.

Covers Google Chrome, Chromium, Edge, Brave, SRWare Iron and Vivaldi , hopefully add others soon.

The option/tweak will not be used if criteria is not met ie not win 8.1 or below.

Nothing available for Firefox based browsers at present, although i believe there are a few forks of the browser around which may have the bypass to prevent that message etc.

MRP 149 is at rc4 stage.

Fixed the w11 snap assist/bar tweak so it now actually gets disabled properly for the current user. Ms changed the name, typical so on the latest w11 it not got set fully.

Im hoping to have 149 out by the end of the week.

Just a few little bits to tidy up.

    Uploaded GUI QT 5.08 :)

Updated post #3 with download link and hashes.

Added OS Edition and Composition names.
Added the Build Codename ie Nickel, Redstone etc.

The above two items are displayed on the first OS tab.

For OS's that not have a Composition Edition name such as Vista, 7 etc then 'N/A' should be shown as there is no data to retrieve.

Some slight re-wording on some line headers.

    ---------------

MRP 149 is almost ready, all tests have been working as expected.

Uploaded MRP v149.0 , 2nd post's download link, password and hashes have been updated. :)

+ Fixed issue with Snap Assist/Snap Bar for Windows 11 so now it actually disables it for the current user and any new ones.

+ Disable the 'Unsupported OS' message for most Chromium based browsers for Vista/7/8.x OS's. Covers Google Chrome, Chromium, Edge, Brave, SRWare Iron and Vivaldi, it may also work for other Chromium forks.

+ Disable the 'Driver Block List' feature for Windows 11, use wisely as it can cause the OS to become unstable if the forced driver is broken or corrupt in some way.

+ Updated System Ram type detection to cover DDR5 too.

+ Updated the 'System Restore' Context menu to have more options to create a restore point manually, restore the OS from a saved point and Configure/Setup.

+ Added a 'Permanently Delete" C/T menu item for files/folders that is missing from the W11's explorer like it used to be on previous OS's. Sadly not on the Explorer's bar but useful via the C/T menu.

+ Many internal code adjustments to some options, a little change of wording etc on some too.

Adjusted some text within the GUI QT to be clearer when using UEFI mode and why the SLIC info may not be shown fully...

Also a few GUI elements changed regarding the 'Notes' display, this will change over time as trying to streamline that section to be consistent when shown in the relevant sections.

GUI QT v5.11 has been uploaded for testing -- post #3 update with the new download link and hashes. :)

Some graphical changes which adds a 'notes' section at the bottom with a yellow background.

A few other internal code changes to reflect when UEFI/GPT modes in operation and the SLIC name or value data from the SLIC ACPI Table may not be shown and/or is missing/incomplete due to how the motherboard maker (OEM) decides to hide the Win 7 SLIC when window 8.x or later is installed.

Sony, Lenovo and some later ACER devices auto hide the SLIC table when a later than win 7 OS is installed. The tools used in the QT cannot detect the hidden SLIC at this time and may never due to how the OEM basically disables it in 'hardware'.

Other code changes do not affect the log output and simply speed ups where possible.

Something being worked on for the GUI QT:
    optop.png
Clickable icons in the Optional tab.. :D

With thanks to @The_MagicMan for the insight and method, i just need to refine the details more, the icons may need to be a bit bigger to allow for any text labels.

Plus need to either create the icons from scratch  or adapt ones in the imageres32.dll...

Not worked out how to make the icons depress when clicked but for now just getting those two to work was a couple of hours getting the positioning right...

The other original flat boring 'buttons' i have not shown on the above screen snip as they messed up.

It is a concept at the moment as more work needs to be done to refine the little details etc.

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...
