Good, I'm also doing one after another, to prevent race condition screw-ups.

I get the terms mixed up and had to refer to google  and it explained:

    synchronous
    adjective
    1. Occurring or existing at the same time. synonym: contemporary.
    2. Moving or operating at the same rate.
    3. Having identical periods.
    asynchronous
    adjective
    1. Not simultaneous; not concurrent in time; -- opposed to synchronous.
    2. occurring in different geologic times; -- of taxa/
    3. chronologically misplaced; belonging to a different time or era.
Either way the option will switch the new RunOnce (all at once) to the older controllable in sequence...

I have MRP 152 and Creator v56 in the editor's history and they are coded ready to test :D

I just pulled the RunOnce option out of 151/v55 as i want to make sure i have the other parts of the puzzle sorted and so the RunOnce system runs in the sequential mode and allowing less timeouts, (for whatever reason the OS changed to those silly long amounts -- probably as punishment for altering their new changes), and so it runs things in the order in which the user has set up in the RunOnce method.

First time i tested the other week i was like eh? that looks different because it does alter the setup end side quite a bit, but it allowed a few programs i had tested with to install properly and not get erased mid running!

Basically speaking the option will drastically alter the RunOnce stage and the desktop may not appear until all items in the list is finished - if the user has used that method for installing things.

MRP's Addon manager will run anything in Wintel and Usertweaks BEFORE the normal RunOnce stage so they will be run in the user's order within those scripts.

SetupComplete should run normally too as that is not controlled by RunOnce as far as i know.

I didn't want to rush this option out this time as it really does make a difference in timings but by default MRP will not change anything unless the user selects that option when it is available and you will be fully informed what it does and what effects it will have too in the creator. It will be a advanced option.

Television, we call it tv for short. Adverts are roughly every minutes but on some channels such as discovery science which i watch a lot adverts can be every 10 minutes and last almost 5 mins.

Some adverts here are better than some of the crap on most channels :D

Of course that was tongue-in-cheek. I know what TV is, but not watching it for 10 years or so. Discovery stuff we watch on YT with ads filtered. Suddenly, the streams are much shorter.

    :p

My cable box has a feature to remove adverts, well pause for the duration, sadly it no longer works as the channels got wise and no longer send a 'break' signal.

Have become a master in ignoring ads, over the years. Sometimes, I don't even notice the adverts at all. Probably not what the ad companies want to hear.

Trouble here in Britain only the bbc not have adverts but at a cost of the license fee of over 150 gbp a year, a lot compared to the other freeview channels that are free. Not much on bbc i watch but still forced to pay for a licence as you technically held to ransom , pay it or if caught shafted by a huge fine or jail time and still made to buy a licence!

Rip off Britain is a term we use because lots of things are heavily taxed, petrol/diesel gas/electricity all eye-watering at moment.

Hoping to have mrp151 released by Wednesday next week, probably just one more rc stage then baseline candidates start as code will be signed off and just any spelling errors fixed left to do, changelog is almost complete too for a change.

There is a lot of changes in this release.

Have noted that MRP 151 may have issues with VMware v16 and v17 and possibly VBox for win 11 installations in that it appears as a 'hung' installation and/or with VMware, vanishing or non existent Network drives.

The problem may be more with VMWare as i have noticed a few posts on the internet that strange things are happening with v16 and v17, more so with latest insider builds.

I have tried to work around those issues such as certain Explorer options are auto disabled as they no longer work for win 11 and as the explorer.exe has been changed by m$ a lot recently it was best to disable them to at least eliminate them from the equation.

On real hardware installs there appears to be no major issues and all seems to be ok. I have tested on several laptops/desktops and on all of them MRP completed successfully.

RC7 has had a few other little improvements such as enhanced uSID detection which before could result in wrong values, now it has 3 ways to obtain it. The old QT may of suffered with that problem and i have addressed that now. The next old QT will be released soon too, a long time arriving but slow and steady wins the race as they say.. :D
