MRP 153 TC3 i have updated the 'Unlock Defender' to hopefully prevent slowdowns and other strange issues on windows 11 (22621+), it will turn on the Core isolation feature MRP option, but if the OS not require it then it will not be used, you can simply turn it off in the Defender's Dashboard later if you are having issues with older Driver installations if this feature is turned on. In my testing the system tray icon did not have as many vanishing acts as before, it may take a little while to appear after a first boot or a restart cycle also the dashboard appears quicker too on the right click of the system tray icon. As i may of mentioned in a previous post somewhere that the 'disable defender' option in MRP has now been removed in MRP153+ because it causes more problems in the OS than expected since m$ have made major changes in Defender. Note when using the Unlock Defender option and you do a quick scan etc you may see a severe threat warning about tampering, this is normal because the MRP option turns off the submit samples and other parts of defender that it not like , they are basically telemetry leakers under a fancy name. Defenders other options and av updates are not affected and operate as usual. You can dismiss or allow etc as you wish. But fixing it to remove the tweaks used may turn on submit samples and telemetry! It is still a experimental option but appears to be a solution instead of just disabling defender now and the issues that can cause, however removing it via other methods may have better results, but that is up to the user to decide if they wish to go that route.

@migascalp was there any noticeable sluggishness on your win 11 install with unlock defender option used? More so running any 3rd party programs like notepad++ etc. Before it would take ages to open and sometimes when installing anything.

I am trying to sort a issue with the unlock defender option in that once you done the latest defender av database update along with the latest cu then the defender's dsshboard does not always show straight away and/or is just blank. Also the os seems to be slow at responding to things you want to run or open etc after those updates. This was noticed on windows 11 more and with a amd ryzen 3 system. Not sure if it related to the cu etc updates or something to do with microcpu updates or spectre tweaks adde etc. On win 10 the blank dashboard can happen but the os is still responsive otherwise, certainly on a intel 13th gen cpu. Not using wu to update the os all is responsive and the defender dashboard is fully operational.
The odd thing was on a non supported cpu etc using a fixed iso to install w11 in that for over 6 months with cu updates etc there was no issues at all. It is very weird and for some reason this strange behaviour seems to only happen with ryzen systems i have built recently. To the point i just install w10 and all is ok again. Has anyone else had this happen even if not using unlock defender? As im not 100% sure it is the unlock defender code at fault because even with that option not used once updates been done via wu the odd os effects still happen.
Hopefully fixed the 'Unlock Defender' option so that it no longer causes OS issues such as sluggish operation etc. Note using the option will auto ignore the 'Smartscreen' and 'Smart App Control' options so that when a CU is installed it no longer causes the OS issues. You can go into the main Defender app and manually turn off or on those options there and all should still be ok. It is when changing policy edits that it seems to affect the OS in a major way. Still in testing but on w11 it no longer causes that OS unresponsiveness when a CU is installed. Via WU: The Anitmalware updates install OK. KB5012170 OK too KB5027119 OK for the .Net 3.5/4.8 update. KB5027231 originally started the issues, but with the latest updates to the unlock defender option all appears to be ok. On w11 i noticed the tamper protection option in defender's app was OFF and not changeable no idea why even when the option to disable tamper was not used plus that option is ignored when w11 is detected too. Very strange Cloud based updates are operative but the submit samples is OFF and you may have to click 'dismiss' to hide that message... Hybrid mode should be 'OFF' by default now so if you install another AV defender is OFF and not sneak on to scan in the background and grab your files etc! Once the testing has been confirmed by others in the private beta testing area then i will fully commit the changes and update the creator to inform the user that there are other options that are changed to prevent the OS issues. MRP will auto adjust the other options as required when you use the 'Unlock Defender' option.
