Hopefully the new option to remove the ai copilot when selected will also prevent it returning on the next cu.

Time will tell as i also set a deprovisioned flag to prevent its return.

Uploaded MRP 158-BT5 for beta testers :)

Updated the creator with the W11 Unlock Defender v2 option (only using admin/advanced mode will show it), plus added lots of information about the option. Will see how things go with this for a while and if no major issues i will commit it fully into MRP. If issues arises from this option it will be removed.

Updated the 'move StartMenu to left' option so that it will also remove/disable the 'News' and 'Weather' apps/icons, which can interfere with some 3rd party StartMenu replacements.

Tweaked the MRP clean up routine so on builds 26100+ if the windows.old folder exists and is empty on 26100+ then it will attempt to delete it. If it not empty then it will leave alone, the log will show if it was removed or not. If you have done a upgrade/repair over the top of a previous installation then the routine will not attempt to remove that folder and will state in the log that it was not empty.

Have uploaded GUI QT v103-RC6 for beta testers. :)

Also a 64bit test one, my last x64 .au3 file got corrupted :( so had to re-write it again so it may fail, the cpuext's routine been fixed to get skipped on a 64bit OS and using this 64 bit compiled exe.

Updated the routine to obtain the UEFI certs to be a bit quicker.

    Notes:

On 64Bit Vista and using the non 64bit GUI exe it shows the cpu feature extensions which i dont think it did before, but a lot of data is missing or not available in most of the tabs...

Running the 64bit GUI exe the cpu ext's are not shown as expected, however all other data is shown...

    Code:

Wasn't the non-x64 one crashing on Vista x64?

Yes im sure it used to crash, but this version doesn't and i have ran it several times. It just not show all data on the 6.0 kernel.

    What the cpuext code? :D

when decompiling MS dlls, i remember that sometimes x64 files use inline asm code for CPU features/instructions, while x86 files use ready OS functions

The changes i made before to fix the bios, memory and cpu sections that was failing with strange array errors when on vista/2k8 64bit, i must of kept them in.

Cpuext code is the one that converts the numeric data of the feature set into human words such as PCID SSE4.1 SSE4.2 etc.

The code used is what i found on the autoit forum, it should cover 32 and 64 bit conversion but it fails under 64bit compilation.

As the person who wrote the functions is no longer active so i cant ask. I not understand why it fails so i have just set to skip calling the function when 64bit compiled.

Im not at my pc until morning so cant post the code.

Im sure it can be converted to a external ps1 etc script that can be parsed but wanted integral native code to keep things tidy.

The old batch script non gui qt got too messy with external scripts etc.

Had a good look at the routine for the CPUID feature set and it seems the dll call used to pull the data out is not active on 64bit 6.0 kernels, or at least it gives that impression, it could be the assembler code failing but it is called and operates OK on Win 7/8.x/10/11 64 bit OS's. :g:

So on the 6.0 64bit kernels, {Vista/Server 2k8}, the GUI QT will not show the extended CPUID Feature set(s) just the numeric value, this saves me spending ages on something that may never get resolved for a technically discontinued OS.

I have uploaded v1.03-RC7 (and 64bit exe version) for beta testers :)

Tweaked the security product detection as before it would sometimes say no products when defender was active on the system, it was one of those special WoW64 redirections needed there!

At least neither GUI QT exe's crash now :)

GUI QT v1-03-RC9 (+x64 exe) uploaded for beta testers - a quick succession of releases today as not had to go out so spent time on the GUI QT instead. :D

Tweaked Security Products detection routine to hopefully remove duplicated lines...

Updated the UEFI Certificates routine to cover a few more i found in the database:

Asus MB, MSI Certified, Root CA 2021.
Better checks also for Canonical and Debian Linux Grub Patches.

**Edited Post** New GUI QT beta test upload.

Been also editing mrp 158 bt6 too, not a lot of time spent on it today as the gui qt took most of the day to get it fully stable plus the testing of both 32 and 64 bit exe's.

On mrp tweaked the uefi cert routine to match the same results of the gui qt. Not had time to compile and test, that will be tomorrow now.

Once i have tested mrp and happy its ok i will upload for beta testing.

Side note slightly off topic, this PC's motherboard was the one with the W10 Core MSDM, i ended up wiping the BIOS chip and reprogramming it, took several attempts as it refused to boot because ASUS's CAP format needs to have the first 2kb of code removed to be a usable 'BIOS'. So now it has no longer the MSDM and so i can use the Modern w11 setup without it forcing Core being installed and allows me to choose the Edition. :)
