mxman2k, Hey brother. See you been busy again. Lol Hope you are doing better. Remember, it's OK to take a break from time to time. But on the other hand, I am waiting for next stable release in order to redo two laptops (HP and ROG).
@The_MagicMan , I am sure that MRP 158 RC5 is pretty much stable now, took a couple of days to fix the weird issues but luckily with help from my trusty beta testers managed to narrow it down to two Edge options that was doing some strange things. They have been sorted now and no problems with those again. The 'disable w10 defender' option worked well to disable defender, (not delete), so that it was totally switched out, but alas in doing so it caused major other issues in the OS such as latest CU installation failures, but that could of been the CU itself because m$ are implementing the newer boothole fix certificate 'CA 2023' into UEFI bios's and this has caused problems with partly reverting CU's, the main CU part is installed, but the UEFI CA part is removed so the revert updates window would show while it was undoing that 'fix'. But for the time being that 'disable w10 defender' option is removed from MRP. The last thing i want is a unstable OS for anyone caused by using MRP. This is why the delay in this baseline release, my own doing i admit but it allowed me time to fix that issue or issues and update the code to be better, so not all was lost. Timeline for MRP158 baseline - if all goes well then it will be before the end of next week for sure this time. The changes to the Creator (more DPI Aware and slightly larger to allow the changes) needs a bit of work and i may have the creator in 'Advanced Mode' all the time without having to run as administrator because the new dpi aware seems to affect some gui background colors when not run as administrator , not sure why, but in 'Advanced Mode' it all looks fine.
Have uploaded mrp 158 bc1 for beta testers Now everything seems to have stablized and options all working again it's time to move to this last stage of development before public release. A few tidying up tasks to do and any spelling errors left to complete. Tested rc5 and bc1 this morning on w10 and w11 and I even wiped my 2nd pc and reinstalled w11 21600 on it with bc1 all working OK. When I get home later I will reinstall my programs. Before I went out this morning I did a windows update, which installed latest July cu and .net things with no issues, defender definitions and drivers all went on smoothly with no hiccups.
My 2nd pc that i wiped this morning and put on a fresh copy of win 11 21600 , WU updated, Defender updated and drivers, all went OK. Going to start my testing on my laptops (ROG, Alienware and HP). Going to create my own recovery partitions as well. Thanks for your hard work. I might sell the hp once done. Keeping the other two.
Alienware When i was working at the hospital in 2021 one of the IT guys had a Alienware laptop, in dinner breaks he would be playing games
Working on 158 bc2 as I noticed a spelling mistake plus a code error on the disable smartscreen routine which did not crash any script but it ignored the registry entry that the error occurred. At the nhs exam today so I did not have time to test, compile or upload this morning before i went out. Hopefully later when I get home tonight I will do a test install before I upload for beta testers. It's not a critical error as it only set a firewall rule to prevent smartscreen from leaking any data out if it got reinstalled by a cu or sfc action.
It will be tomorrow morning time I get round to testing bc2 as just got home and shattered after a 12hr day.
I started at 635am it's now 715pm I got home just after 645pm. Only two more exams to go and I've retired from it. Although I probably get called to help out at other centers.
The center I been working at is also closing it's doors for exams , they can't get anyone to fill my position so they decided to finish too when my time to leave arrives on 17th August for my last exam.
158 BC2 uploaded for beta testers Fixed a few issue as previously mentioned. Readme has more in-depth info. Tested OK on w10 Education, not had time to test w11 but it should work OK as nothing touched on that side and all was good then. Updated Creator info tips on the UnlockDefender v2 option (w11 only) as now you can select to disable smartscreen and smart app, this way the user has the choice, but on w11 the smartappcontrol is better switched off in the defender UI as it can slow things down. Will leave that to the user to decide if that better or not.

Working on bc3, need to fix a small error I have made in the license checking routine as for some reason it has caused a crash. I think it's a variable not set correctly in a comparison check. Once sorted that out a bit later when I have time I can do a thorough test and hopefully that will change to rc1 for final testing ready for baseline release.
MRP 158 BC3 uploaded for beta testers Fixed my error Updated some log entries that was not showing before as they got skipped. When it is checking for KMS stuff it will take a few seconds longer than before now as extra checks are done. If this works out ok and no issues then MRP will enter the RC1 stage ready for finalizing of code ready for Baseline.
Problem is, PB1 could also be read as "PreBeta1", this is ambiguous. Any reason not to use the "RC - Release Candidate", leading to a "Release"?
