Does it activate before user any user created? I can't get it to activate when I enter in audit mode.
Had the bronchoscopy today, omg never again!! Uncomfortable was a understatement. On the 3rd attempt to put the canula in I went into shock of some sort as I remember seeing stars then a few minutes later waking up on a bed with chest pain along with a ecg machine connected up, blood pressure cuff on arm along with two doctors and several nurses. Never had a reaction like that before to needles. They wanted to postpone the bronchoscopy but I said no I not want to go through that again and get it over with. So after 3 more ecg and bp tests they took me into the Operating room. Eight biopsies was taken from two places. I'm not allowed to do a lot of things for 24hrs so will see how I feel tomorrow and add that log switch in oobe.cmd so you can show or not the mas, kms script detection.
I'm not sure audit mode would let mas run properly as I'm sure that Internet isn't available in that special mode ?? Never tried that method as audit mode and me never was best buddies
Leaving Audit mode usually resets licensing. If MAS manages to establish a valid activation entry on MS' servers, the system should reactivate as soon as it runs in normal mode with Internet again. Setupcomplete runs in the last part of Setup, after OOBE, where you create users. But licensing itself is system-bound and doesn't require a user.
I am sure it's something about audit mode not just reseting the licencing it also resets some other data that gets lost so hwid not 'stick' as the Id reference is reset too. Basically in audit mode the data used for hwid is all lost when the mode is exited so ms servers only see that temporary hwid xml so no kept licence.
Well, I only use Audit mode when I absolutely have to. It resets a lot of things, especially with Generalize.
Me too as i certainly not want to have go through another procedure. Sore throat is so painful but my chest feels like it's been crushed. Luckily I not had a cardiac arrest, or I be stuck in hospital with no laptop
Dism is another area I am very wary of and so in mrp that is used sparingly and 99.9% only for server feature bits.
Uploaded MRP v159-RC4 for beta testers Proton link only still. Added the 'switch' option so that via oobe.cmd you can set that option to Yes to show information if the 'other' scripts such as MAS, KMS etc is detected or not. If you leave the option blank or set to anything other than Yes then MRP will ignore it and NOT show any logged info about those 'other' scripts. Note: MRP does NOT run these 'other' scripts, this is up to the end user to do, yes it is possible to detect and let MRP run them just like the 'wintel' and 'Usertweaks' scripts but decided to leave that up to the users discretion. Im hoping i not made any code errors in this RC4 as still not feeling 100% but i checked and rechecked several times for any possible mistakes and did a test run of the code added and all seemed to work ok. Over the festive time i will see about the server branding. I have decided that the best method will be that the user can select the required server branding via the Creator's brand selector option because using DMI methods will not always be reliable. I can detect if the OS installation is client or server but a lot of changes would be needed within MRP's branding sections that it could cause major issues as that section is very sensitive to changes. I still need to find the wallpapers etc so it may take a while to get them all sorted and wont be ready before the 159 baseline so it will be in the 160 branch instead.
oh F NO! Lets skip that in the future, shall we I have abit of an "issue" with Windows Spotlight, it doesnt work on Windows 11 (its completely removed from Settings, both background and lockscreen) but it works on Windows 10, any ideas or services/gpo/reg keys applied?
Will look into it, I know one option will prevent Spotlight. It could be the telemetry one. I'm sure I added a option to allow Spotlight, but it may no longer work on w11.
As Windows being micromanaged (cough) by MS I wouldnt expect anything else actually. I totally forgot about that telemetry option lol, more digging and testing Edit: Nope, doesnt seem its in "prevent telemetry" either
