Also could I use an ISO of Windows 7 from MSDN that already had SP1 applied or an untouched RTM iso? Because again it did not activate nor did it apply OEM info, but it did apply from the config file (SLIC 2.1 is present)

For win7, with or without sp1 it not matter. But if highly edited by ntlite etc it could create issues due to missing files etc that the user removed using those type of image editing tools. Generally it should work, the project's log will say if something went wrong.

I'm not understanding your reply, in that it applied from config file?

The mrpconfig file does nothing on its own as it a control file for the tweaks in mrp.

For those options/tweaks to be applied mrp would of run and created a project.log file or partial one if mrp had crashed part way through operation.

Are you sure you are placing the extracted $oem$ folder into the sources folder? Because it will not work anywhere else.

Unlock defender basically adjusts the way defender works, the instant grabbing without warning is prevented, at least it tells you now.

Also if you manually turn real time off it should no longer turn itself back on automatically you have to turn it back on.

As mentioned in the ini comments that submit samples are manually sent instead of automatically and majority of telemetry reduced to absolute minimum if a sample submitted.

@bundyal it seems your setupcomplete.cmd deletes the scripts or setup folder.

    **EDIT**
I have made a code error in the addon manager script at the beginning, that is a possibility as I added a new option check which I may of messed up. Hopefully fixed that in rc7a.:)

I just checked a few new options from you.
I didn't change anything that would make my internet not work.
    Nothing changed in my setupcomplete.cmd

If you had selected 'turn off Internet during oobe' than as mrp crashed before addon manager had run then it is why the Internet connections are disabled as the turn back on code was never run.

Uploaded 159 rc7a for beta testers with hopefully my fixed code which was a missing closing ) in a IF loop

So easily missed when you working on a laptop with a mouse pad thing which is sensitive to being touched by your palms and so the cursor moves without you knowing!!

Also fixed a wording error which i had fixed several times when i reverted code back before, but somehow missed on the last revert...

I have checked the code to make sure all ( and ) are in place and no missing ( or ) -- fingers crossed.

Sadly i cant check a run time of the addon manager as my spare laptop is in pieces as i broke the mouse button, i just need to find a donor button switch to solder on the main board.

Not sure if this a individual situation or a new general issue in that the network connections are still disabled in the rc tests and not switch back to enabled after mrp finished.

I not touched that option at all so unsure why it causing issues now.

The option in question is 'temporarily turn off network/Internet connections during oobe' .

I know it has played up with some home editions of win 11 and also with most insider builds recently. But in general for pro and above editions it has worked as expected. If the option is set then mrp usually does 3 attempts to turn them back on. If that fails it will be stated in the log it failed to reenable networks.

Looks like the Internet connections were re enabled in your log. As otherwise the log would state unable to reenable and say to manually turn on.

Just looking through the addon manager code now - which is run after the oobe's reboot stage...

Nothing has changed in the re-enable internet connections section... :g:

It is working ok for w10, it may be that win11 not like the internet being turned off, as m$ are really trying to force users to be online during setup...

The only thing is to manually reenable the network adaptors after setup has completed, or not use that option and have setup possibly force you to use a online user account setup - unless use one of the fixes to prevent that on MDL.
