I have a legitimate ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe MoBo, so why isn't it picking it up from my MoBo? I built my system myself. I purchased the MoBo, Intel P4 CPU, RAM, power supply, etc.. When I build my next computer, hopefully before the years end, will I have the same issues? How hard would it be to change: System Manufacturer To Be Filled By O.E.M. & System Model To Be Filled By O.E.M. ? I'm not a guru on these things, but I would like to know what's involved so I have an idea how hard it is? I've appreciate all the help I've gotten on MDLF, the people are very helpful, and everyone learns. Thanks !
You said it yourself, built it yourself thus it isnt a oem motherboard and will not have those queries within the bios. You can brand using the Force_Theme_[readme].txt file with entered oem of choice. Activation isnt possible because no slic if vista/win7 or oem-dm key for win8.x/win10 unless you do retail activation method mentioned in the important txt file included project. Sounds like you need to do research on activation methods used on different M$ OS's. Might be a good place to start anyways. You might be able to find a bios mod for it but I am not sure. This is the wrong thread to ask about that request. Maybe not the answer you wanted but a answer none the less. Note: It should pick up ASUS and apply that brand but activation will not be possible. Without the query tool results.txt file indicating found queries, I dont know why it didnt brand as ASUS. Query tool results.txt file will even let you know what bios mod to look for your specific board. Others might be available that work but again this isnt the thread for that request. Goes back to doing some research and running the query tool. lol
Your key info in the query tool results is the "possible emulation". If you purchased the board from asus and not a oem machine but just the board it will not come with included cert and most defiantly wont come with key. Obviously you are using a loader type of emulated activation or bios mod is wrong like the other member who posted a similar issue a few days ago. His was bad bios mod but I dont know if that is the case for yours. Only you would know this info, not me. If it is emulated then all asus info showing from query tool is based on emulation, not the true info in bios, thus would be incorrect (emulated). If you are using a loader to activate then uninstall then run the query tool again and send to me to see if I have the info for asus or your board even has any info that can be used by this project. Hope you understand what I am saying. P4P800-E: Is I guess your board info but I know for a fact that info is NOT in the project. You can however force the branding to what ever you want then using a loader to activate it. Then your machine looks like a oem machine but in fact will not be. These are your choices. Good luck.
or he can mod the BIOS it's AMIBIOS but already see HP Slic2.1 for that MoBo OR he should put request on BIOS Mods Section for Asus Slic
My Dell 3147 came with Win 8.1 core pre-installed. RWE shows only MSDM table, and no SLIC table at all. Does that mean I can't install Win 7 Pro on this PC instead of 8 or 10 ? Or is there a way to add a SLIC table by requesting a bios mod, and still keep the MSDN table in case I want to re-install 8 (or 10)? I need a real (not virtual) install of 7 for a few legacy pgms & hardware that don't work well in virtual. I've searched as well as I could for an answer. Sorry if this is a dumb noobie question!
With no slic it means no oem activation unless you use a loader. As far as the rest of your questions, it should be asked in the bios mod section of the forum.

I'm reading all I can to learn about the Project, loader, bios mod etc. I'm a bit obsessive in reading entire threads from start to end, and my head is about to explode. I can't seem to DO anything without trying to understand it first, and it's easy to get lost with so many bread crumb trails! Hello, I hope someone can help me with this and I hope this is not a stupid question. I am trying to download the files on page one of the thread and I cant get it to work. I use the link to go to pastebin site and copy the shown links into my brower address bar. It then takes me to a mirrowcreater site that shows me the file name I want to download, when I hit download now it redirects me to a Usenet site that wants me to register and then give them a credit card number. I tried most of the links shown on the mirrowcreater list and most of them try to install ad ware or spam ware on my PC. I cant seem to just find a direct link to the files. This is very fustrating. I hope someone can help. I just would like download the files and try this out. Thanks in advance. Dragoone
I know but I was recommending for generalized advertisement blockage on any website. Lately I've seen or have notice about more filehost services adding ads pop-ups or redirection pages... Kind of annoying.
Enthousiast, Thanks so much for the help. I had tried zippyshare and each time was opened to an ad and I when I closed it down I was back to the same list of sites to choose from. What I found is my brower, well all my browsers, I tried Chrome, Firefox and Edge and all are set up to block pop ups. The new page that showed the "Your preferred download link is now ready ..." was a pop up and I never saw it. I finally allowed the pop up and got the new page to see the link you showed. Your information at lease showed me what I should be looking for and I figured it out from there. I have now downloaded both files and can try creating an OEM install for my Dell. Thanks again for your help. I will give you a big thankyou for your help. These file sharing sites are so frustrating and knowing how to navigate them is getting to be a real challenge. Maybe there should be a separate thread for this information. LOL Thanks again.
It is how these free hosting sites make money without charging the up-loader or the down-loader for access to the file. Its the way of the world now with downloading files. Trial and error usually shows the way eventually. Even if you pay for a upload server users will still get popups regardless if not a subscriber them self. Not much we can do. The world revolves around money, nothing is truly free.
I am in the process of finding the IP's for urls used in the host file for our WinTel.cmd file. I want to get away from using the host file since it is not as effective as the route command. Lots of the services in windows now bypasses the host file entries. Plus the host file only works with IE, not other browsers. Better to use the route command in order to make sure these services cannot call out. This will take me time to find all ip's associated with the urls so be patient. Stay tuned...
Note: I will need some beta testers before I release this update within our project. I want to make sure it works without issues. If interested in testing for me please pm me and I will add you to the list of beta testers. I now have all the ip's for the domains listed in the host file. I need to check for duplicates then add the ip route scripting (98 ip's to add) so I can remove the host file entries. I will work on this more this evening when I am done working on my neighbors computer. My work is never done. lol
