I have done some research and found something interesting with the slipstreamed updates... Try this and let me know if it brings the oem wallpaper back like it should... This does seem to conflict with the project and if this works we might be able to incorporate a fix within the script of the project. Let me know your results, thanks.
Now Skype wants to verify its me...forget Skype...grrr. Never mind I will address all of this myself but give a week to do it. I am done for today.
You know what? Now it's working lol Don't really know what happened I just rebuild the iso deleting March project and putting the new one. I remember when I tested two editions, Enterprise and Ultimate, and didn't work out. Well, as for me please consider my case as closed. lol
So it was how the custom built iso was created then. Still would like to know why it happens sometimes but I cant reproduce it. Good to hear it is working for you Mr.X. Now you know why I only use untouched original M$ iso's with nothing else added except the project to avoid all of that. lol
No problem Mr.X...at least we found out how to reproduce the black screen and how to edit registry to fix it but it is a problem with the method of customizing the iso that causes it. If used on a untouched iso, the project always works. When you get into customization, problems can arise but it isn't the project fault. Something breaks the ease of access under control panel during a bad slipstream, why it happens could be the third party app that some use to slipstream instead of using dism. I am guessing but makes since. Think dism is the best way since it is M$ tool. Just my opinion. Here is a easy way to test... -Test slipstreamed against original and if original works but slipstreamed doesn't, its a problem with the slipstream which is up to the end user to troubleshoot.
Hello all, having problem downloading software to work with OEM stuff, I managed to download OEM query tool 2.8 and checked, seems ok. But I having problem downloading other one "Multi OEM Project: 7/57" because the website I go there liberally deposited lot of junk, a container program that bombs firefox and requires me to register with another website to proceed. Is there other way to get this file? timely fix from someone got me going with working system, thank you! Thanks and cheers, wizardbios
Try another link RGhost one is ok. I would also install Adblock Plus in Firefox anyway just for normal usage. Also make sure you read the actual hoster download page do not use their downloaders.
I tried this and its not checked. Black Background is there. This is Windows 7 ISO with all the latest updates from WHDownloader.
And did you try multi oem project with unmodified iso, also what version of multi oem and are you still using ntlite
This is a known issue if ppl are slipstreaming using third party software. I recommend Dism personally. You can go back one page and read where Mr.X had similar issue but he redid his custom iso and it worked so it is something with the third party software causing the black wallpaper. Rebuild the iso again or use Dism to create your custom iso. This is what corrupts... It isn't the project corrupting the custom iso but the third party software used for slipstreaming updates. Use dism and all should go smooth. Note: I added info on this to first post of this thread. Hopefully end users will read it and reduce these comments. lol
One note: Problematic (black wallpaper) iso: Simplix pack to integrate updates Dism to export indexes (AIO) Imagex to rename indexes Oscdimg to create iso file "Fixed" iso: Grabbed the above one iso file Using UltraISO to delete March 03 2015 MultiOEM project Added latest MultiOEM project and create iso file with UltraISO So I think something related to oscdimg command had to do with the wallpaper issue which I can't not explain for the moment. Ed.~ Sorry my horrible bad memory which doesn't recall correctly lol To "fix" the iso file I utilized UltraISO to delete March 03 2015 MultiOEM project and insert the latest one, then the latest one actually worked. Perhaps something works differently using Oscdimg vs UltraISO to create iso files. Don't know.
I don't create custom iso's, I only use original iso's from M$ but it is nice that Mr.X found the bug. As to why it does it, who knows. I use ultra iso as well to add the project to the iso. You might be on to something Mr.X Thanks
