I just found out something I need to notify Alphawaves about with his brand changer tool. I am almost done with the project then I will upload.
Updated first post with Multi OEM Project July 21, 2015. Updated credits given to include alexwilson and cleaned up Project description on the first post.
Im Installing win 10, just done the upgrade from win 7, Clean Installing Iso now with new build project, i have changed wallpapers, so we will see. Just waiting on Anarethos to upgrade the Recovery tools so i can have the best of both worlds.
First off I want to thank those that have pm'd me with suggestions. I will be releasing another version soon with more logging info and also corrects logging error's if OEM's folder isn't present. Improved speed of script as well. Testing in VMware but I will keep every posted on progress.
Win10 install time for oobe in last release was around 3 mins in VMware with default settings, now it is 1 min 30 secs. I implemented the same method on other OS's to reduce their install times as well. Think all possibilities are covered now. I will finish testing then upload later today. I hope this meets everyone's expectations. lol
First post updated to July 23, 2015. Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Change log: Spoiler Headed to the lake...take care everyone.
Note: The win10 logon background changer tool is for win10 build 10.0.240 or newer only....older win10 TP versions are not supported. If you wish to have this tool work properly, update your win10 iso. lol
I wnat to thank everyone for this post. I followed the instructions on the first post. Downloaded the windows 7 iso x64, removed ei.cfg using the ei.cfg Removal Utility. then i added $OEM$ folder to the sourceds folder. in the $OEM$ folder ($oem$\$$\Setup\scripts) there are 3 files and i left it as is only coppied the folder $oem$ to the sources then saved iso. When i installed on vmware automatically installed win 7 basic, it didnt ask me what version to install. I am thinking i missed something. Thank you
Delete these files too: install_Windows 7 HOMEBASIC.clg install_Windows 7 HOMEPREMIUM.clg install_Windows 7 PROFESSIONAL.clg install_Windows 7 ULTIMATE.clg
More then likely I bet the ei.cfg is still on the iso...the utility didn't have permission possibly. I have never needed to remove the additional .clg files but doesn't hurt. Have you looked in the iso to see if the ei.cfg file is there still just out of curiosity? Recommend using UltraISO or similar to view and edit ISO files.
Thank you for the reply guys , i am using UltraISO by the way. Also i dont see the .clg file in the sources folder. I do see these install_Windows 7 HOMEBASIC.clg install_Windows 7 HOMEPREMIUM.clg install_Windows 7 PROFESSIONAL.clg install_Windows 7 ULTIMATE.clg If i delete these ones i guess i wil be able to choose the edition correct? Just to be more clear i am trying the installation in the VMWare enviroment. Thank you
Oem I am unable to access the OEM on my computers, see below what I mean: Spoiler OS Name Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601 Other OS Description Not Available OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation System Name LOGOPOLIS_LLC System Manufacturer To Be Filled By O.E.M. I would appreciate any and all suggestions. Thank You.
Perfect i removed the \install_Windows 7 HOMEBASIC.clg install_Windows 7 HOMEPREMIUM.clg install_Windows 7 PROFESSIONAL.clg install_Windows 7 ULTIMATE.clg and worked perfect. One more last question , how can i add enterprise edition too please. And if i want to add multi x86 x64 version in one iso is taht easy? Thank you so much
That is only two queries, use the oem query tool from project and it will give you more detailed info about your bios. If you are wanting to add info to your bios then you should open you own thread. It is filled in by the oem manufacturer with their bios update in the beginning.
