Hi Just a quick question if regards to this thread? (h ttp://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/62919-Help-with-this-bit-of-code-in-SetupComplete?p=1096133&posted=1#post1096133) Is Daz's Loader integrated into MultiOEM?
You need to add the loader yourself and add the setupcomplete.cmd file with needed info to run the loader.
Those who upgrade to win10 your activation key for win10 then turns into a retail key (your oem-dm key in bios isn't used for upgrade) thus you need to run the query tool first in order to get the installed key in registry (retail key) to be used during a fresh install of win10. When oem machines come out with win10 then it will use oem-dm key in bios. Just sharing some useful info.
Thinking of adding possibility of if exist Key.txt file (for those of us that have upgraded to win10) so we can add our win10 retail key for install instead of it failing using win8.x oem-dm key which right now, the win8.x oem-dm key is what's applied. Feedback? ... Let me explain further... I cant tell if a person has used the upgrade feature which for win10 activates with retail key it got from M$ server (Hardware ID). Right now the script will only pull oem-dm key which is fine once ppl buy new machines with win10 on it. Those of use who upgraded the key gets activated by a retail key. I know Daz said all you have to do is skip key entry but remember the script auto pull the win8.x key which will fail for fresh install of win10. This would give those of us that upgrade the option of adding to a key.txt file with the oobe.cmd file so the script bypasses oem-dm key if key.txt if present thus the key in the key.txt file will be the one forced to be used for activation of win10 only. What does everyone think? These oem upgrades of win10 becomes a grey area.
Makes no sense to implement the keys to this project. They are not needed for the Setup and should be always Skipped during install. The activation mechanism made online contact with the MS Server mandatory, no HWID check against the Server, no Activation. There ain't no offline-activation option for the Free Upgrade.
I will find out what happens when win8.x oem-dm key gets applied which is will be auto applied for win10 which I know will fail but will win10 still auto activate when online is my question. I will find out this weekend when I do fresh install myself. Cant test the theory yet because of school so it will have to wait till I am done at the end of the week.
Upgrade Process checks the legitimacy of the system and sends an HWID to the Act Server, if positive checked. That HWID is the unique key, needed to identify any machine on that planet. No need for interaction, simply always skip the key install in that case. So far no-one knows how the sold Win 10 OEM_DM licenses will work. Since OA 3.0 is unbroken, probably no changes.
