I checked them and both the directory and the file AutoLogger-Diagtrack-Listener.etl exist exactly as you said. The full path for the file is: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Diagnosis\ETLLogs\AutoLogger\AutoLogger-Diagtrack-Listener.etl And I didn't need to take ownership, dunno why but I was able to access all the folders right after I made visible hidden and system files
First post updated with same version date 08-25-2015. Check updated change log for 08-25-2015. Your problem should be corrected now. Test and let me know for sure.
Make sure you got the recent one for todays date....had to correct extraction failure. I have to create the project in vmware win8.1 to build the project since tools dont work in win10. What a pita! lol
It happened a weird thing.. after the phase "Get going fast", so after the OOBE but before asking me the username, the pc rebooted and asked me again about the settings for Get going fast . Maybe it's just that that netbook has some personal problems with Windows 10 . Anyway after that, it finished the setup. I'm posting here the project.txt It seems that it was finally able to complete everything! And it applied the ASUS theme!
All right!!! Fingers were hurting there for a minute. lol Yeah, it seems your machine has some issues with win10 but you are not alone...many have reported issues so that isnt uncommon. Glad it is working for you. I expect my Bora Bora first class tickets in the mail soon. lmao! Have a good day Klomar.
Ahah of course, thanks and again sorry if I made you thought that I was unrespectful about your work. Have a nice day you too
We are good brother. I was stressed yesterday to tell the truth so I didnt handle the conversation correctly. I am sorry. I am in the process of moving and things are getting stressful. Again, sorry.
Wrong HDD Type Thanks for great job! Latest "OEM Query Tool v7.3 Build 3.exe" found out that my HDD Partition Type is MBR: But my HDD Partition Type isn't MBR, but GPT: Spoiler
I don'k think so. I have pure GPT partition's type on my HDD. I used diskpart.exe, which can't create hybrid HDD Type. Code: Microsoft DiskPart version 6.1.7601 Copyright (C) 1999-2008 Microsoft Corporation. I have got a pretty weird issue, happen on both Win8.1 Pro and Win10 Pro. My laptop is a HP Spectre x360, wonderful machine, beautiful with great performance. It has Win8.1 Core SLIC in BIOS. I have a Pro activation code. So I made a USB boot drive, with multiple OEM project, hoping after install, it will show the pretty System Info. page, then I activate with my Pro key. But somehow it does not show. So I use it for a while, then upgrade from Win8.1 Pro to Win10 Pro, free of charge, thanks to Microsoft. Decided to clean install Win10 Pro, make a Win10 Pro USB drive with multiple OEM project. Again, the system info. does not show laptop data and HP logo. The weird thing is my other laptop that has Win8.1 Pro SLIC in BIOS, can show the system info. correctly. I am wonder if there is any constraint in multiple OEM project with Core SLIC in BIOS? TIA
The query tool check registry for UEFI secure boot is enabled or not enabled... HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\SecureBoot\State" /v "UEFISecureBootEnabled" If not set to one then it isnt secureboot enabled thus isnt in true uefi mode. Check that registry and see what setting is...if not 1 then uefi secure boot is not enabled. Your drive might be partitioned as gpt but isnt using the reason behind enabling uefi secure boot. Just because drive is partitioned to support uefi secure boot doesnt mean it is enabled. I figure you probably turned off secure boot in order to install windows more then likey and so doing your secure boot option in registry is turned off...turn back on secure boot after install and it will show correctly. Lot of ppl dont know how to setup flash drive correctly to install in uefi mode and the result will look like yours. Guessing, without knowing more info.
No it isnt required, true BUT one of the reasons M$ made uefi was for secure boot to keep rootkits at bay or try to (other then large disk support). If you turn that off to install windows then your boot isnt protected thus isnt in true uefi secure boot mode. Mind as well change to mbr (if not +2 tb's hdd or sdd) because uefi isnt doing you any good if you have secure boot turned off which wont help with rootkits. In fact it is Recommend if users turn off secure boot for install they should turn it on when done installing. I have never had to turn off secure boot mode because I know how to do a windows install without touching bios settings other then boot option menu to select usb to install. This has more to do with the person doing the install not knowing how to use uefi for windows installation more then anything. Since this is a oem project, oem's and techs alike know how to install without touching those settings. Thus the project expects the end user to know how to install using uefi secure boot mode.
