Are you sure this is not somekind of modified setup/recovery, for example it might be already using oemscan to copy over the correct oembios files while installing.
Hi I want to make a OEM XP prof for ASUS but in for the french language. How did you make your CD? Please help me to find some kind of tutorial how to make a oem XP prof cd for asus in French.
So I have to do it from scratch? Can't I use the multi OEM cd you made and replace some files (if it is just that it's easy hé ) So I will have to begin from sratch I assume? I will ask my question in the forum you mentioned. Thank very much.
I can't ask question on that tutorial. So here I am the VLK iso image I have is in french. I assume it has to be in French or I cannot make the mulit oem in the language I want? Then I need to replace some files from the C:\TEMP\OEM FILES\VLK to PRO OEM\I386 folder to files from SP3 in French. Have I understood this correct?
files dpcdll.dl, nt5inf.ca and pidgen.dll not found on SP3 in french after extracting SP3 in french, I cannot find the files mentioned. I do find : pid.dl, nt5.ca but not dpcdll.dl, nt5inf.ca and pidgen.dll My mistake, didn't look in ip folder OK now
Can someone tell me if this handmade version of windows xp prof is the same as a OEM XP pro ? without any difference? are there traces or extra services that normally are not there in an original oem XP pro? I would like to have a exact copy of an oem xp , so it's a legal copy? I will use the key of the pc ofcourse.
First question: You will make Multi OEM or only OEM French? If only OEM then try this: 1. You need oryginal french WinXP Pro SP3 VLK, RTL or OEM ISO or CD 2. Download Service Pack 3 french 3. Extract this files from SP3/i386/ip folder: DPCDLL.DL_, NT5INF.CA_, PIDGEN.DLL, SETUPREG.HIV 4. Download compressed 4 OEMBIOS files for ASUS CRC 5. Change 270 to OEM in file SETUPP.INI 6. Make file WINNT.SIF in i386 folder with key for ASUS OEM SLP 7. Make ISO
So it's also possible to make OEM cd for Asus with an original OEM xp prof cd? that's even better!. so step 1: I will use OEM XP prof cd (I hope it has SP3 or is that not necessary?) I'll copy the files to a folder. I extract the files mentioned from SP3 french. I assume I have to put these files in the i386 folder? the 4 OEMBIOS files will also be in the i386. then change 270 (but if I use the OEM XP, it should be already good, no?) then I put the key for ASUS oem slp in the winnt.sif. Can I make ISO with the same app I used when I made my OEM cd from the VLK?
To check that CD or ISO image have SP3 need find file WIN51IP.SP3 in root directory of CD or ISO image - if not this file then recommend slipstream SP3 with ISO image WinXP (if file is WIN51IP.SP2 that this ISO have SP2 integrated). If oryginal CD is OEM then you no need change anything in file SETUPP.INI Yes, extract files from SP3/ip to i386 cd/iso image
I have windows type lang setup.ini= PID name cd /name folder XP pro SP2 OEM english 76487OEM VRMPOEM_EN (iso) xp pro sp2 oem english 76487OEM HP_OS_restore_prosp2 (folder) XP pro SP2 OEM French 55711OEM WXPOEMSP2_FR (iso) XP pro SP2 oem Dutch 76396OEM GRTMPOEM_NL (folder) I have abode OEMS. How an I know if the one of the above OEM is a original OEM an not a custom made OEM? is the French one an orginal OEM?
1. Check HASH MD5 or CRC-32 or SHA-1 and post here 2. Check your labels with this tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=342 3. Check what program made ISO 4. Check ISO that is type only ISO 9660 (not Joliet) 5. Check is date and time all files is the same 6. Check HASH CRC-32 file OEMBIOS.CAT after unpacking OEMBIOS.CA_ English ISO VRMPOEM_EN is probably oryginal French WXPOEMSP2_FR is probably not oryginal and this is slipstream SP2 with WinXP SP0 Dutch GRTMPOEM_NL is SP3 not SP2
1. I downloaded the app, can I also browse to the iso or do I have to select a certain folder (example i386)?With what I have to match? 2. with labels you mean for example VRMPOEM_EN, GRTMPOEM_NL? What do I need to check? I only checked the names of the cd's or the folders wherein the windows file are in. some of them have a original name (VRMPOEM_EN,GRTMPOEM_NL) other have another name (WXPOEMSP2_FR, ...). I do find the original name on the page your mentioned, the others not. Is there another way to find the labels , maybe in i386? 3. dont' know what program made ISO, how can I find out (if possible?) 4. how to check ISO 9660 and not Joilet? 5. Will do it 6. oembios.ca_ -x c:\test (unpack like this, right? This file is from the ISO/folder windows OS and I have to check it with the downloaded one? 7. Yes, Dutch is SP3, my mistake
I tested the hash test out on a windows 7 home premium Dutch ISO file , I made myself from a original cd. on the link technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/downloads/default.aspx#searchTerm=Windows%207%20Home%20Premium&ProductFamilyId=0&Languages=nl&Architectures=x86&PageSize=10&PageIndex=0&FileId=0 I have found: Windows 7 Home Premium (x86) - DVD (Dutch) Release Date: 8/26/2009 SHA1:73B7F17B3CCABBD30FF39D5F1DF5D61905E56A9E Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (x86) - DVD (Dutch) Release Date: 5/12/2011 SHA1:2337AAAA1F22E0A945FB95FA29FD332CE064A6BE But none of them matches the SHA1 from my ISO file. What does this mean? maybe that I burned the ISO but didn't choose to keep the original dates of the files? or maybe because I'm checking the ISO file but I have to check something else?
If it doesnt match, what does it mean you think? Its probably been modified.. Download from MDL and ur good.
