    Does anyone know how to make an external USB hard drive (not a thumb drive) bootable for :eek:using this ISO or any other? Like Rufus does for thumb drives.

    @LM3:
    As mentioned by you rufus works with normal Hard drives also - Just Click Arrow next to "Format Options" and Tick "List USB Hard Drives" under Advance Options. ;)

    I once tried to install Windows XP from a hard drive which I made with Rufus.
    When you exit the blue install screen and computer restart to setup, it says that install is corrupted because it doesn't understand that the disk is in the hard drive... I don't get this problem when I did with my 3 other simple USB drives.
    Be careful!

    You need to mod XP to make it run from USB.

    Easy but not as easy as the two clicks neded with PWboot on Vista+

    Uhh, not really, atleast not when using Rufus.
    Used 3 different 1 GB USB sticks and it went smoothly, it just doesn't work when using USB HDDs :p

    Never used Rufus to install XP on USB, anyway it mods XP for you, modding is still needed.
