NOTE: When there is an ei.cfg in the sources folder, the Setup won't be able to gather the Key from BIOS/UEFI .
The hash would be the same if the ISO was identical though, that's what HASH is for - so unless setup box is creating a different ISO each time.... what are the changes?
I download the following iso file> File Name: en_windows_8.1_with_update_x86_dvd_4065105.iso and made my USB bootable program Rufus. when boot from USB then press any key I black screen appears with a logo in the middle of Windows 8. waiting 5 minutes and nothing happens. Does anyone know what the problem is?
The files are downloaded as encrypted .esd file, then it gets decyrpted and then boot.wim is generated/extracted from it by applying it to a new different-compression file you cannot generate the exact same file in this case not to mention that WindowsSetupBox.exe may download extra dynamic updates to update setup components did you try to hash and compare all the files in both isos?
Nah, I knew it didn't include update 1 when the file sizes matched perfectly, just wondered why the hash was different Wonder if MS are planning on updating the setupbox downloads to include update 1 at some point
