Murphy Quick question: Is there any differences between your repository and abbodi1406 ? (I'm asking because last time I have used your links(GA update iso) this time abbodi1406 because of direct links (I would like to know if there is any differences in iso files ?) I'm little confused from what I see all files have "update 1" integrated EDIT Ok, thank you so much for your answer [h=3] [/h]
Has anyone done a clean install on a recent "Windows with Bing" PC, and tried to activate using the OEM license key? I've done this and got a "key not for use with this edition" error. I've tested all of the retail/VL/Core/Pro install keys. I'm curious if there's a way to convert the ISO to be compatible with the "Bing" license key.
The "with Bing" versions have their own editionid. They cannot be activated with the msdn default keys.
So, is there any way for one to clean install with the standard Win 8.1 ISO, then activate using a "with Bing" license key? Is it then about finding a generic install key for the Bing edition? Actually, I've looked fairly hard for this very animal, and have thus far came up empty. If such a creature exists, I would much appreciate a pointer. All of the entry-level PCs this year will come with the "Bing" edition, so I think this will be a more prevalent issue.
Um... hmm.. I don't think you can downgrade the OS. I think if it were an upgraded version you might have been able to change it using the Windows Anytime Upgrade, but I don't believe you can do it from a higher version to a lower version. You can give it a try by clicking the "add features to windows 8.1" in the wuapp.exe (windows update), but I really doubt it will work. Also I think the upgrade matrix applies to the anytime upgrades, so it would have to be sanctioned by MS.
First, I appreciate the input. To be clear, I'm not looking to convert to a different edition per se, but am just trying to get a clean install, then activate using the existing OEM key. I want to remove the crapware that's baked into the "factory" setup. Previous to "Bing," this was possible for both Core and Pro OEM keys with the MSDN ISO. From your reply, I assume that no one has achieved this with the "Bing" edition. I realize one workaround is to use the KMS method, but would like to stay legit if possible. As it is, "with Bing" now equates to "no clean install." I'm hopeful that someone will come up with a clean "Bing" ISO. Thanks again for your help.
I wouldn't be as pessimistic. Win9 is very likely to be a free upgrade to 8.x users, and will of course be downloadable (read: there'll be an ISO in some form). The preview is rumored to be among us soon, and in a few months, Win8 will be in the past tense regardless.

Is there any method to get the KB2839636 (Portuguese-Brazil language pack) via download for offline installation in the Windows 8.1 Pro N?
Offline you'd have to integrate the 8.1 RTM langpack and then the subsequent update to bring it up to 2919355 level. Of course it only brings the files up to 2919355 level, so all the other integrated updates would need to be re-applied from the 2919355 pack. This is because there is no updated langpack for each language. It's actually very complicated to list out exact instructions. There's a million ways you could fail. If you're not at least moderately good with dism commands you might try abbodi1406's language pack script or just sysprep/capture it. sysprep/capture is actually the easiest to do, but it seems the most intimidating since nobody talks about it. I have sysprep/capture info in my integration thread, but you should know that it's outdated and I don't remember if I included VM VHD instructions, which are preferred. Basically you make a VHD file with diskpart or diskmgmt.msc and then mount it in your vm as the vm's hard disk. Then when finished sysprepping, you shut the vm down and mount the VHD in the system and capture the image with imagex or dism.
