"Don't take my word for it that these are MSDN ISOs..."
I did checked my self: SHA1 is correct ! And because I own a DVD with x64 OEM from MS, I have extracted into ISO and checked again: the same SHA1 !

    Thank You

Lies. smv.exe inside the sfx only applies a delta patch to the source iso.
Either norton is lying, or you've mistaken the file scanned.

You're welcome to 7z extract the svf file and apply the patch yourself with smartversion 3.

    Hello,

Sorry for this noob question but, i need a Windows 8.1 Pro x64 Vl with updates included. I tried here the torrent, but i can download exe.
If i understand, i need to download the GB ISO and patch it with the exe ?

There is not directly the French iso with updates ?

    Thanks a lot,

    Regards,

    Seuxin

You see the issue I get when dealing with patches?
Even if I have a tiny exe file which is obviously a patch file, people still get confused.

Eh, I don't mean to pick on you...
I get like 100x this much confusion on TPB.
It's like nobody is born with a brain anymore.

Is it so difficult to do the updates yourself?

I wasn't talking to you, the guy looking for the french .iso. Just grab an .iso, and let Windows to the os updates.

Oh I get it... I forget that sometimes ppl from TPB follow me over here and assume everything I do here relates to what I do on TPB.

I also forgot that MS calls these ISOs "with Update", so... I can see the confusion now..

Yes. With the normal activate option you can activate the Pro/N VL and Enterprise versions.
With the EZ-Activator option (that changes the key to gVLK - KMS key) it will activate as well.
You would need to install autokms if you want it to stay activated though.

KMS has a period of activation. It's 180 days for Pro and Enterprise versions and 45 (in 8.1) for Core and ProWMC.
If you install AutoKMS, it will re-activate every time you start your Windows and every 24 hours if you leave your system on.
So you'd never drop below 179 or 44 days respectfully, as long as you don't install some over-zealous A/V program that method blocks the AutoKMS.

You can 'Allow' the program in any A/V program, but sometimes it still method-blocks the default secohook method.
You can get around that by going into MTK settings and changing it to use Tap adapter or WinDivert.
Tap adapter is probably the safer of the two options if you're having an issue with an A/V program.

    Murphy78,

Are you planning to release a Windows 8.1 Aio August, or jump right to a September release instead?

Well, seeing as it's September already, I'll probably just do a Sep version.
I honestly figured MS would have sorted out their issue within a week or so.

    Hi

First, thanks a million Murphy for your hard work.
I apologize in advance, as i know ive read about this and how to solve it, but cannot find the info now...
So any harsh link with no kind word will be accepted :)
I have a clock problem, it's set to server-sync (ive tried all servers), and it goes totally out of sync (at next reboot it seems).
I guess it's a kms activation problem, but I don't know how to fix it.

    Thanks

are you still trying to activate against an online server? no, do you? Go and run MTK and forget any servers out there
