Ill play with the hacked activation servers when they are from here. After better solutions are available, I would never use kms servers from the net. Who knows what is collecting your IP's etc etc.
Hey all! If I do a fresh install of windows 8.1 can I just install august pack or do i need to download all the updates that comes up?
Thanks for your help. Just running Murphy install with kms activated thing. Uninstalled the .exe and ran latest MTK, still the same, must be doing something wrong. Will read all readme stuff carefully this time and see if I can sort this out.
Hello, First off, thank you for your releases! Great work. Can you please PM me the mega/firedrive/gamefront link as well? Thanks and cheers
Negative. I don't bother with filehosting sites since they started DMCA takedowns of them within hours of uploading.
Wonder if Microsoft will actually release an iso with update 2 - they've not officially referred to it as Update 2, the April update was simply "Windows 8.1 Update" and the August release was just referred to as a "rollup package"
Whelp, this is my first post ever on this forum. Dont tear too hard into me if my questions are very noob. I am using murphy78's iso to install windows 8.1 home 64bit on my spare PC to check it out. I am also using the MTK 2.5.2 for activation purposes. I tried installing updates directly from the microsoft download center, then when it reboots, i get a BSOD and my computer reboots, until i repair it. So my question is, can i do updates directly from microsoft, or do i take them indirectly from another server? Should i just turn off the update feature, (which seems to work this way). Thank you for the help
You should be able to get them directly from MS. If you have an A/V program, you need to uninstall/taskkill during updating. They tend to block certain updates.
A couple of suggestions. Your old computer, have you got the most recent firmware installed? If not, try that. Also, get the latest drivers for your computer from the vendor. Since you are installing the 64 bit version of Windows, you want to be sure that you get 64bit drivers too. After doing all this, I would suggest doing a clean install. Then install the vendor drivers. Then try Microsoft Update BUT just one update at a time. If there is one update that is still causing the BSOD, then you will know not to install that one. I realize this is tedious but it is also a systematic way to eliminate causes and ultimately fix the problem Good luck and let us know how you do.
Murphy78, will you release a September 2014 Windows 8 AIO with oem Logos this time? Last month Ms screw up its updates
Actually, I should have it up shortly. I just need to pipe the hotfix dir list to a txt file, edit a few things and viola!
Thanks Murphy78 waiting for your ISO, hopefully this time we don't have any BSOD or fonts problems with September updates as August's
I know some folks that would appreciate like crazy- Windows RT 8.1 .esd with all updates. I have been able to do mine, but its like crazy as hell for (non Scripters like me) to get it correct. Yes i use scripts by Murphy78, S1ave77 and others, to do this... (I also make lots of mistakes.) the hardest part for me was after I made the Original USB Recovery Disk) 1. the install.esd is in 4 parts... Code: Microsoft Windows [Version 6.3.9600] (c) 2013 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Random question here for anyone that uses the "en_windows_8.1_with_update_x64_dvd_4065090" ISO... When you right click on the file in Windows 8.1, and you select "Mount", do you get an error message saying there was a problem mounting the file? I've verified that the hash is correct, so the file itself is fine. The original 8.1 iso mounted fine, and every other iso I have on my computer mounts as well. It's just this 8.1u1 iso that doesn't mount.
Can u open it with UltraIso or something else? did u verify the properties of the file? Most of time when i encounter this prob the downloaded iso was corrupted.
If the file handle is open in another program (such as a torrent program), you will not be able to mount it.
