Especially for foreigners small introduction to culture of Russian music with translation Read Here : http://www.russianactually.com/russ...y-moj-drug.html#sthash.IPY5aqMc.9sPk6fNN.dpbs That's why I love Russian music (I'm not talking about pop music) their music and songs always have serious a philosophical shade. Although not all and not always love complicated sentiments (notably at 1:10 a memorable melody begins) translation : (although it is may be better just to listen, because the correct translation of such things is impossible) My friend, an artist and a poet, painted my love on a rainy evening, on a window pane, Revealing me a miracle on earth. I was sitting silently by the window and enjoying the silence. My love has always been with me ever since. The time was flowing like water and I always felt warm, When on a rainy afternoon I would look at a window pane. But year after year I met sadness in the eyes of my love, A faint light of rainy boredom and so my love changed color. My love changed color, the wonderful bright day faded away A night shadow is concealing my love. Chatter of cheerful colors, game of magical fire My love does not bring me joy anymore. The gentle tones have dimmed, the height and depth disappeared. There are no more clear lines - this is a portrait of indifference. The love is looking eye to eye, but I am neither happy nor angry. The earthly peace of colorless dreams is sharing its silence with me. So the inspired face will lose its kind features. My love will finally die within me. And drops of sad rain will run down the glass My love is crying silently, leaving. And the rainbow of the days gone will be covered by the dust of the coming years And the memories about love will also lose color. A picture is melting on the glass, there is no hope to save it But how can I paint my love in colors of joy again? Maybe I should break the window pane and dive into a different world, Where an artist and a poet lives, painting sunlight… ("The Festival" Album - year 1978)
