This section is my favorite place for the same reasons. We never argue, we just share music that makes us feel good. And we learn. About each other. About our different upbringings and cultures. What could be better than that? @jegg: I met Minnie Driver like that. She was a nice person.
Geez... you must live in my area, I met Mark in a little hole in the wall in a place called Parshallville, Mi. Worked for an LP company in the early 80's and we set a tank at a recording studio hidden in the woods, Ted Nugent had some gold records on the wall there too.
Sorry to hear about that Alpha. I know that song well also from Oakenfold's amazing Resident- Two Years at Cream album. The artist there is credited as Tilt, which maybe is a name Robert Miles used or was a group he was part of. In any case, a talented artist and will be missed.
I guess if you don't jump and scream " can I have your autograph? ", and treat celebs like ordinary people, I think they appreciate that a lot Mark started the conversation, was very nice, and btw we didn't talk about his Grand Funk RailRoad band lol, although I did confirm his identity by asking him before I departed Yes, Parshallville some tasty apple cider at the mill there, crushed fresh cider with yellow jacket bees in the mix for a good taste! Been there a few times. I guess the insects like the apples and get crushed with the apples, delicious. I met Mark a bit south of Parshallville at M-59 & US-23 a fuel stop there.
