chrome always wants user to login... bookmarks will always be saved. did this is in past no longer create account or login, with new os installation Just about impossible to get rid of their bookmarks, always come back even those useless old sites, broken sites, obsolete urls my method, bookmark manager, export to html file this way all that old junk never comes back... ^ i use opera instead of chrome but never encountered the always login thing you speak of, didn't have any problems with bookmarks either. however my reason to find something else was because of backing up a profile was pointless on chrome and chromium as it would not restore installed extensions and the latest chromium now disables manually installed extensions like google chrome does, so i gave opera a try as it uses the same engine as chrome but no backup issues of profiles.
