Please tell me where the disk or partition you put the file AMIBIOS.ROM .... ????, By the system to find ...
Thanks for the link Urie. As i posted earlier i will be attemtpting this again after work. BTW, whats with "for gods sake". Is this really the attitude for a moderator ? I am simply trying to learn the correct method.
alextheg - so did you manage to finally make it? If you still need help then just upload your bios file, flashing tool and exact command you wanna flash with and i will make you a bootable image which you will have only to burn - the rest will be done automatically after you boot from it.
Thanks str8. Actually in the middle of burning the disc image as we speak, hopefully all goes well. Thanks again for your kind offer.
not very well. Bad flash in afraid. All recovery methods failed. I need bios reprogrammed via the SPI header at a cost of £40 .
...Because people dont know how to flash their bios??? exactly. Flashing is not to be taken lightly. Any number of things can go wrong. Too many people here take for granted the fact that is is quick and easy. Phoenix is particularly troublesome, but the fact is..very few bios brick here, statistically. We have a very high percentage of successes. I would like to see the bios mod, and know who did it. Perhaps the flash method was less than optimal; why not USB?? I suppose I should read the thread again, perhaps I missed it... I am not against loaders, I just favor the bios mod. They both have their place in this fray...
Just a little joke 911medic BIOS modding is risky but it is a more legitimate appearing approach to activation, so I agree with you in that respect.
If you can not make bootable CD/USB/whatever than I hope you are not suprised that it all went wrong. Maybe you should have never started & aked a friend to do it...? sebus
Was it due to the method off booting off a dos cd or a bad slic2 edited file? If it was the former i would just find an old ass floppy (off craigslist even) and use the floppy method if it seems the cd way jacked it up. Mfk
Well considering i already posted a link to bootable iso file, then every one adds there comments just to confuse the situation, telling you how to do bootable usb when you have already stated your motherboard doesn't support it. Not always posible considering the size of some bios files to large for floppy's.
