Can a free WMC key that's been activated with a genuine activated windows 8 pro be used on another pc, I wonder if I can use only the free WMC key I Know the windows 8 Key is tied to the system ,also my friend still as some free WMC keys can they also be activated on a system already running win8+WMC if so How
Can some kind soul provide me with just one WMC code before it ends? I waited for the code from Microsoft that seems forever...
I activated via KMS then I tried the key i had in an email for the WMC but it said key was in use and activation failed. What did I do wrong? I am wondering if my key was used before or something. Does anyone have a spare?.. Also now that its asking for a new key or to enter a key can I just paste in the new WMC key or can I just do slmgr -ipk WMC key and slmgr -ato ?
you can but its not necessary, as its just the data.dat file that causes some issues, the tokens/dat is copied during the completesetup script...
I was thinking you could avoid trying to restore via SetupComplete.cmd if all your activation files were already in the wim. No?
Sorry one more question at below code. Code: REM delete data.dat and Tokens.dat files within "mount\Windows\System32\spp\store\" and copy your own Data.dat & Tokens.dat(Your backup up files!) Maybe i miss something, but when I type "as-is" on cmd and I look inside mount\Windows\System32\spp\store\, i still see those to files. I had to manually delete it. No big deal but wondering what that code suppose to do... Could I skip that code and just go into mount\Windows\System32\spp\store\ and delete it manually? Thanks NICK@NUMBER11.... I made WMC backup in dvd for myself and sibling and all works great. I even add key to office 2013 <PIDKEY Value="xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx" /> in /proplus.www/config.xml Now i don't need to remember key
Sorry yes manual delete - however i think this code will work, if you want to add it in... Code: del /s /f /q c:\wmc\moumt\Windows\system32\spp\store\*.dat del /ah /s /f /q c:\wmc\mount\Windows\system32\spp\store\*.dat COPY /y c:\wmc\data.dat c:\wmc\mount\Windows\System32\spp\store\data.dat COPY /Y c:\wmc\tokens.dat c:\wmc\mount\Windows\System32\spp\store\tokens.dat And well done on your project!
