My internet from my router to my laptop connecting has problem. After troubleshoot problems, it is working again. It's happening very often. I tried with other laptops and they are working, no problem. What is the reason? I am using window 10. I just start using cabel(rj45) Wifi is working. Thanks
Looks like your router not configured correctly?, it seems it doesn't automatically hand out gateway when giving out ip?. Paste in pastebin "ipconfig /all" from command prompt. What router do you use currently?
I have one more pc connect with same router and working fine. No problem at all. Only with this second computer. My router is Ausu RT-N12D1 Code: Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.14393] (c) 2016 Microsoft Corporation. I was betting your router is mikrotik one, i have the same problems before and found out it's my router configuration. Vanilla asus firmware or DDWRT or even TOMATO ?. So the connection problem is with the wired one?. Have you make sure using the latest updated driver for the adapter?. Does the windows recently upgraded or clean install?. When does the problem starting to happened?. For temporary workaround you can use the trick to forcing and manually assigning default gateway on network adapter -> Properties -> IPV4 -> Properties -> Advanced -> Default Gateway (click on Add) .
It is clear that this is not a problem with the Wi-Fi! The problem is your Wi-Fi settings in computer. Go to settings and see they, if necessary, then more later, it is because they are different computers a bit different. To say something more, is necessary to see current settings. However, it is possible that they do not go work before the new clean installation of Windows is done. I've been dealing with similar things about a month, just recently. Every time after reboot was necessary troubleshoot or do changes settings manually. Windows simply was not able to remember them.
asus firmware on router. I have 2 wired computer. only one computer has this issue. Other one is working flawlessly. I have the latest updated driver for the adapter. The windows recently upgraded and clean installed twice. I just start using with wire and found this problem.
I can tell you that I have here now also Asus rooter, two channels 4G and 5G. In the beginning was the suspicion that the old do not work, but then it became clear that still works.
I think you are using a VPN that is interfering with the gateway of your local area network. Uninstall it and check if you are still having the same issue.
Thanks. No i have installed on vpn on pc, all of my pc. The ohter have no issue. Only this one. But, I don't connect and use VPN very often.
