Just guessing of course, but if your situation arose while out of town and after you accessed a Wi-Fi hotspot or a network with less than aggressive security, you may have gotten malware that's wrecked your system. If that's the case, I'd suggest you run some pretty stout anti malware (with updated definitions) once you recover from your problem.
thanks for the link, but my connection to download over 2gb will take 2 days, im just trying to get the 143mb restore disk for win 7 32 bit if possible, my connection keeps dropping with long downloads.
