I had issues with loading a program and researching it and finding that it may be related to .NET. My system has .NET Framework 4.8 and attempted a repair but there us no option to do so. Tried uninstalling it and immediately get an error that it can't complete. The .NET tools to repair, or remove also error.
Thinking it may be related to the ESU that is enabled for .NET updates, I removed that. Tried running the tools and uninstall in safe mode, still no luck.
Any other options to remedy this?
    Thanks in advance.

I have, multiple times. That was one of those "tools" I mentioned in my post. Thanks

Just reporting back. I resolved the issue with month old restore point. No idea why things went sideways.

That is one of the reasons I Image my systems every week.
    Glad you got it fixed.

sometimes corrupted files & certain registry entries and registry permissions also get corrupted which causes some of those .NET errors
