It should work with pendrive too, just make sure you get the right drive letter.

 

I don't know why it is not working with my pendrive. It messaged: error:87, Dism doesn't recognize the command-line option: "K:\sources\sxs". My pendrive is K

Oh thanks, it is running but it stuck at 66.5% on my pc. Don't know why? On my friend's pc is working...

Yesterday I re-installed WDP, so I took the chance: without setting up for internet connection, i.e. no windows update and no activation, I installed .Net 3.5.1 (+4.5) using the cmd., it took 4 mins.

 

Dism worked perfectly.. .net 3.5.1 is in the installation DVD itself

To enable .NET Framework 3.5 on only a few machines with clean installs of Windows Developer Preview:
1.Copy\sources\sxs\ from the mounted operating system build ISO image to dotnet35 or similar folder. For example:
xcopy e:\sources\sxs\*.* c:\dotnet35 /s
2.Execute the following command line using admin privileges:
Dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /All /Source:c:\dotnet35 /LimitAccess

Worked perfectly for me.

I do it before i install the OS. Its quicker if you have to install often.
